Because everyone that loves and cheers endeavour are 15 years old kids that look at just the spec sheet and make assumptions. Factor everything in and you find out that fortuner is a good choice for people as it has better 3 row seating, reliable engine, resale value, and also the best offroader.

@@thanseeh3448 I own a fortuner it has body roll as every SUV has but it depends on How fast You are taking a turn, if you drive normally you and passengers won't even notice bodyroll. As far as 3rd row, it is decently comfortable for people of height till 5'8, my height is 6'0 and I fit in 3rd row but my hair touches the roof but it is better than endeavour cause I can't fit in it's 3rd row and it gives body pain bcoz of cramped space.

Fortuner is the most overrated suv in India. It's expensive than the alturas and endeavor yet it lacks power , has less dimensions than both endeavor and alturas and looks less premium. Harrier and creta interiors are better than the Fortuner. The reason people buy this overrated suv is because of reliability (though every car manufactures are reliable nowadays....so it's an invalid reason) and resale value 🙄🙄 Toyota knows that Indian people will buy anything if it's has good resale value....so if they sell expensive , less premium cars in India.....they will sell like hotcakes. Sadly that's how Indian buyers buy cars.

I don't think that is entirely true for all Toyotas, but just for some of the more 'followed' cars. You are absolutely correct about the Fortuner, which has a V6 option in many markets, but not in India. Same applies to models like the Yaris and Etios. That said, other models like the Innova and the Camry are both above par excellent in India. In most markets, the Camry used to be a boring Family car, but in India it has always been a Powerful Luxury Tourer. Same with the Innova, which, in the latest generation, has an excellent interior and ergonomics. The Corolla is also quite competitive, if a bit boring. Toyota knows it's buyers. It treats customers who buy cars like the Camry in a different market from those who buy the Fortuner, despite the similar prices.

Even though their reliability is also now degrading. Lexus 450h sold in us are now showing their age. Its just people mentality...toyo is most overrated brand after suzuki & charge very premium price. Even though they are not safe.

A recently sold my 9.5 year old Fortuner with 2.15 lac kms on the ODO due to the myopic vision of the NGT and its 10 year diesel vehicle rule. To replace it i looked at 4 options. The Fortuner, The MUX, the Alturas and the 2019 Endeavour. Fortuner was too low on the feel good factor and a bit too noisy and bumpy. The MUx though a great package was too plain jane. The Alturas wowed me but i cannot being myself to deal with Mahindra After Sales here in Delhi. It sucks. The Endeavor ticked all the right boxes and the 1 lac km warranty provided peace of mind and some insurance as ive been with Toyota since 2003 and am used to thier superb quality, reliabilty and world class after sales. Hence have booked the 3.2 4x4 recently.

Alturus g4 is my choice, missing panaromic sunroof though.

If you are too rich to afford these cars without a sweat its Endeavour all the way .. but if one needs to save up a decade worth of money then get his dream suv its gotta be fortuner... Sad but true, the depreciation value and service cost just makes it the ideal investment.

Fortuner sells because it has ridiculously low maintenance costs & superb re-sale value . Endeavour is an enthusiasts choice for the sheer driving pleasure . Alturas is offering great value for money but it's reliability is yet to be checked

Why would something goes for a Body on Frame SUV if they want driving pleasure? They can go for crossovers like Tiguan, Tuscon and Kodiaq. They handle and accelerate like sedans.

In all over the world these SUV's are considered as mid size SUV's but in India these are comes in full size SUVs

A Toyota land cruiser cost in cores. I have driven most of the larger SUV out there. They are great but, don't give good fuel economy if you want to use it as a daily driver.

Fortuner is too overrated in my opinion. But, if it's your dream car than go for it cause it's resale value will be good for awhile. Until it gets even more competition. I will be getting an Alturas G4.

The fortuner wins the market not only because of its bulletproof reliability. I think its the only car in the segment to offer a variety range of options to the customers. It packs in petrol and diesel variants, it gets automatic as well as manual transmission and 2wd and 4wd options. It also gives you more space for a large family. Finally, it comes along with the Toyota badge. I think all of these are reason for his winnings.

The XUV300 gets an Auto Dimming IRVM and the Marazzo gets a Shark Fin Antenna and the Alturas G4 being the flagship Mahindra, does not get both those features.

Because the former two were designed and engineered by Mahindra. The alturas was engineered in South Korea.

Alturas looks Premium and works good enough. It has been 5 months since we bought it, its a nice purchase. I would rank, Mahindra Alturas G4 Ford Endeavour Toyota Fortuner in the order..

Endeavour is the best car among the three considering overall aspects. Alturas is value for money. Fortuner has clearly lost on interiors and noisy engine. The older version used to be the king of this segment.

There is this director in malayalam film industry called Lal jose.. He and 2 of his friends drove from kerala to london on a ford endeavour spanning more than 25000 kilometers..They just had 2 regular services on the way .... The vehicle didnt even have a single breakdown or even a puntured tyre... And on one of those service which was in kazakhstan i guess , the ford people said the vehicle didnt need any service as it was in good condition.. they successfully completed the journey without any trouble from the vehicle... I dont think any other car from this price range can do this

endeavour is a personal favourite.although it is the longest vehicle it lacks space in the 3rd row.A/T is worth the price tag but still need a manual transmission 4x4 for the enthusiasts. nice comparison.

That is because it has the maximum luggage space with the 3rd row seats up where you can put a full size luggage bag with space left for other small soft bags to boot.
