Btw,,, thats extremely good advice, "don't go crazy, because others generally would". If fabi didn't go crazy in his final game against nepo he would've forced the match to go on, same for nepo because they both missed huge chances,,, hikaru the same, alireza was loco, prag was ballistic, looking for a fight in every game,,,, i think gukesh was the only objective player on the field, he didn't always went looking for fights and he knew to pounce when an opportunity showed

@tykjpelk Hikaru's case was more about him overlooking his own situation. He took a draw far too easily, which is different from what Magnus is saying. Magnus is talking about just taking each game as calmly as possible and not doing anything rash because others will make mistakes at some point.

listen up buddy, i aint no good chess player but as far as i know , magnus shared his opinions on whos gonna win and his prediction was wrong , i agree, but he is a human after all, he is still the greatest of this era *at least* . And people telling him to come back are forgetting that magnus at peak only and only cared about chess , but now he has got a girl and a life he wants to enjoy , 16 titles he carries isnt something to be taken lightly. Magnus in his prime wanted no distractions and now he wants to live peacefully.

The whole world knows Magnus will wipe the floor with anyone in top 10 right now. He doesn't have to be WCC for that, he has proved it already. Nobody in their right mind calls the current WCC as the best player in the world. When Magnus is around, people compete for 2nd spot. Edit: he just wiped the floor again. 10 wins in a row!!!
