It's a well deserved win for Magnus. The only missing title is now in his basket. Pragg has learnt a lot of lessons in this world cup and tasted how it feels like to be in the finals against the best player. He has qualified for the candidates and will come back strong . He's just 18 and has a lot of chess career ahead !

Yep, Magnus needed the title but I would have been totally fine if it was Pragg with the title, because it'd have been historic to be beating the top 3 in a single tournament. Still, he indeed played an amazing match! And yes, Magnus is the Goat of all Goats.

Magnus proving why he's the best again. Pragg is an absolute chess monster! Was seeing a lot of toxic Indian fans in chess24 chat after Magnus won (not all Indian fans, just a few bad ones). Pragg beat world #3 and world #2... the only person he lost too was the greatest chess player ever. Pragg is a freaking monster and his run was absolutely amazing so there's no need to be upset and raise your stress levels for no reason. Yeah the chat section was concerning to me. I can't tell what percentage of us Indian viewers was that, but I hope it was small. In their pursuit of filling their personal egos by selling a person's achievement as theirs with auch arrogance, they are not just degrading their image but ruining the reputation of their own nation and its chess fanbase.

Just like everything in life, there are always going to be fans who are going to be haters of an opponent just because they're the opponent of their favorite player. So like I said, any of those Magnus fans that were saying things like then they're not real chess fans and they just suck as a person. But there certainly was more Indian fans talking sh*t about Magnus then there was about Magnus fans talking sh*t about Pragg. Probably because Chess is extremely popular in India and they have over 1 billion people. Either way, there's always going to be some fans of anyone who just suck, it is what it is. Magnus is a chess god, the god of all kings….

It almost felt inevitable. Once he came back to beat Keymer, there was basically no chance he would lose. The only thing more dangerous at a chessboard than Magnus is a fully focused and determined Magnus. Gukesh, Abasov and Praggnanandhaa basically had no chance, so the fact that Praggnanandhaa got it to tiebreaks is impressive. None of them should feel bad or discouraged. They just ran into a buzz saw.
