I bought this on VHS back in 1989 and played it to death! How this band never made it as big as Def Leppard defies logic. They are one of the greatest British rock bands of all time. I feel so sorry that I never had the opportunity to see them back then at their finest!

Def Leppard were prettier, and they had Mutt Lange. It was the 80s, these things mattered. If Hysteria had the same sort of production as High & Dry, and didn't have almost every song released as a single, they wouldn't have hit the heights they did.

I never even compare Def Leppard and Magnum, different classes, different themes. Def had glam, magnum have pure magic. That is why they are one of my favorites ever :)))

I was into metal and thrash around this time and I bought Hysteria when it came out and still think it's a decent album - Magnum were one of those other bands I used to see on Raw Power and I never really paid much attention to them or really rated them - that's sadly my loss though because I'm just checking out some of their stuff since Bob Catley died and I'm quite taken aback by it all - they're absolutely knocking it out the park on this live performance! I wish I'd gone and seen them live

Each and every one of the songs is wonderful. The care that these bands put into harmonies and melodies and arrangements in general is something that will not be seen again.

Same, Barrow lands was an awesome place when Magnum came to town in the 80's. Saw them 3 times there.
I wish this concert was on DVD / Bluray. I saw Magnum in 1988 and it was the best live concert ever. Catley has such a great voice and the songs are epic. Wild Swan is my favorite. After the keyboard part, Bob sings with so much dedication that it almost hurts. So much power and drama in his voice. Outstanding ... best performance ever. I'm coming hooooooooooooooooome.
Bobs voice at its peak . I finally say them live in 2017 great gig but far too late . Prayers go out to Tony .
banda preciosa, belos riffs, vocal feroz, melodias pegajosas....Rocão de primeira!
Just recently showed this video concert to a friend at work who had never heard of magnum and she has just downloaded the back catalogue and never stops listening to it, by the way she is 21years old and usually listens to adele and dua lipa, great music will always cross boundaries I guess
during the golden era of music (60's, 70's and 80's) people were taking this kinda music for granted...... these days everyone wants to go back...... even me..... and I was born in 1991 :D:D luckily raised on good music

I tell people, if you want to see how a live show should look and sound, this is it. I missed the first set of dates in 88 but was at the NEC in December with Stage Dolls supporting, great night!
Don't Wake a Lion...another bull's eye. Thnx Magnum!
Can have this on replay over and over. Only wish I had the chance to see them in their prime (or...... ever!)
This must be the .500 Caliber of all Magnum performances! September 1989, just before turning 10 years old, I got into the world of hard rock and heavy metal. September 2011, I found Bob Catley. February 2012, I discovered Magnum. Had to start buying their albums and live records. April 2014, I saw Magnum kicking off their European tour in Helsinki.
One of the greatest singers of all time.

This was as big as Magnum ever became which still is unexplainable, fantastic songs and voice. And they still release good albums every two years which no band which has been around for as long as they do. I am amazed by that and I am going to watch them in my home town in april of 24

Im a member of the late 80s metal, and i swear i dont remember these guys but just hearing the very first song im liking what im hearing. Im getting a little feeling of Foreigner maybe mixed with a little Whitesnake vibe. Sounds good AF so far. Theres alot of bamds i missed back then, but i sure wore out Great White, Whitesnake, Warrant, Slaughter etc.

Oh !Thank you, Mark. That's nice for those who couldn't see the band live in those years. I only could see the band in 2007 and 2012, which is already a chance... Those were different times, really, this glitter and all this reverb on vocals... But i quite like Wings of Heaven, more nowadays than when I bought it in 1988 or 1989.. Days of No Trust was asdong I heard on radio that hooked me.. It's still one of my favourite songs by Magnum.. Pray For The Day is my second favourite on this album. and Don't Wake The Lion.
Classic, exceptional performance back in the day when the audience lived every beat, felt every note and breathed in every moment of this excellent concert. No viewing through the screens of their cell phones..it was up close and personal.
