I was living in So.California from 1980-84 and saw Scorpions many times live….including the US Festival 83 2nd day, which they ruled. This band gave 1000 percent every show. Those were the days.

I've never seen any footage from the Rock Pop '83 show looking this good... I hope it gets a re-release on Blu-ray, as the lineup was astronomical!!

My friend and I were invited to meet them on their tour bus after a show in Atlanta in the 1990’s. We had a friend in the music business that arranged it. Wow! They were ALL so nice and had their wives/girlfriends sitting there too. I told Klaus, that I would love to hear “As Soon As The Good Times Roll” in concert and he said “You like that one do you”. They offered us refreshments, we declined and they signed a poster. We didn’t stay long but I was so happy they were not unpleasant and didn’t rush us to leave, we left on our own, they were just so nice, a perfect meeting… my husband and I are going to 2 shows in Vegas, Love At First Sting is my favorite album. We saw them at the Grand ole Opry in Nashville in 2016. They are the Best! Just wanted to share how nice they were . Rock On Everyone 😀.

Yeah,it wasn't long after they brought in Mathias to replace,I forget his name,that Blackout was released.The chemistry between he and Rudy flourished in the studio and on stage,Mathias is right up high on my list of favorites with Randy Rhoads,Mick Mars and Jimmy page.

What an incredibly tight band! And such great showmen, too.

I can remember this night! I was 13 years old and it was a real fight to explain my parents me sitting the hole night at TV to look all this fantastic bands, specially The Scorpions. They are from lower saxony like me, only 60 km away! At this time, as a young guitar player, Matthias was and is one of my heroes! 🤘👍🔥

Agreed. Uli is great, but this is the Scorpions I grew up listening to.

Beautifully restored, first time I've seen the show in this quality!! The entire day in Dortmund was phenomenal... So many incredible artists!!!! Hard to imagine 40 years later, that this happened...

That was always my favorite ballad from this band, unfortunately after 1983, it rarely got played live (Still Loving You took it's "spot" as the power ballad in the setlists).

@@KALLI888 Damals hier in der Zone, hat man alles aufgesaugt was man zu hören bekam😅. In unserer Clique war einer mit "West"verwandtschaft. Dadurch waren wir ganz gut versorgt. In der Disco gab,s ne halbe Stunde Heavy 😃. Wenn nicht, flogen Stühle und die Popper mußten dran glauben😉🤭. Scorpions, Maiden, Priest, Motörhead, Accept, Saxon etc, waren bei uns angesagt🫠. Später im fortgeschritten Alter, gings dann bei mir zu den Ursprüngen zurück. Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin zbsp 😊. Jetzt, kurz vor der ominösen 60, wird es aber wieder schneller und härter(damit meine ich die Musik😂) Manowar, wieder Accept(welche der vielen Varianten auch immer😉), Amon Amarth und Arch Enemy sind gerade bei mir auf dem Schirm😃

Exactly the intro from under the drum kit I saw in 1982 on their "Blackout" tour. Iron Maiden opened for them on their "Beast on the Road" tour. What an awesome show it was an why I love and miss these days. I even still have the ticket stub lol. Long live rock!

I remember when this first came out, i was a young lad and i still get more than exhilarated from listening to it today, this stuff is legendary! I had World Wide Live on a cassette tape and wore it out and it still plays🙂, a few years later i found it on cd, there was no such thing as cds when this first came out. This is real rock and roll and can never be dated! It still sounds amazing! ❤❤❤❤ SCORPIONS!

The Scorpions were a MUST SEE band every time they were in Seattle! Always on point and bringing 110% to the show. Pure class...

I had forgotten how much I love these dudes. Saw them Labor Day 1984 at Firebird Raceway outside of Phoenix, AZ. There were over 100K of us crazies there and a few folks actually died for a few different reasons. Needless to say it was the last totally general admission show at that venue. RIP to those whose last show was Scorpions Labor Day 84',

Best rock band of all time, and still rocking on! It always surprises me that they are kept in the background, I can't tell if it's the music industry itself that has tried to keep Scorpions songs less known than the British and American bands. But it's admirable how they've never let anything get in their way, because their Passion Rules the Game!

You have been with me since I can remember. Long live SCORPIONS, thanks for everything. His songs saved me many times.

I have been to hundreds of concerts, Scorpions/Tesla in the early 90s was the loudest I have ever been to. My ears rang for days. Probably lost some damn hearing ha.

I saw this tour in Sioux City Iowa completely blew away this country boy so grateful they played that small venue they were so BIG HUGE ROCKSTARS!

I'm 73 and the Scorpions were popular back since the 80s in the United States when I heard for the first time thru Greg Farish in Tucumcari, NM. Cool tune, as their others are. Like; "The Zoo, Rock You Like A Hurricane, Still Loving You and countless others."

I was there,unbelievable line up,2 day festival in a big hall.The day I attended Deff leppard,Iron Maiden Ozzy Osbourne,Judas Priest and Scorpions where playing.2 stages no waiting times between shows,packed crowd and great atmosphere and no cellphones and verry loud.And a few weeks later it was aired on TV

They start the show’s like a bomb. And I remember that.

I saw them at the Thomas and Mack Arena in Vegas in either 1990 or 1991. I was in the USAF at Nellis. I forgot which year it was, too much alcohol, lol 😂. Great show, btw.

When I was first getting into Scorpions in middle school, I would come home from school, take Blackout or Love At First Sting out of my dad's chest of records and just listen endlessly. Then, in the mornings while waiting for one of my parents to be ready to take me to school, I'd watch this concert and the Tokyo one (other one just published) and just get lost in them. I've searched for them for some time and couldn't find the entire set, it's nice that they've been re-uploaded in their entirety (at least as I remember them from older videos) and in such great quality!

Saw this exact tour in the States in 1983. Oakland Coliseum baseball stadium on the Day on the Green. Loverboy opened the show, Scorpions played 3rd bill and Iron Maiden headlined. Great concert. Scorpions & Klaus had so much energy back then. They should definitely be in the RRHOF!!!!!!!! 👍🎸

My first experience with the Scorpions was them as a guest band for Ted Nugent at the St Paul Civic Center in 81 or 82. Also had Blackfoot. Loved all of them ever since. Didn't look it up, but Klaus must be 70 by now? Great singers never die.

Scorpions is a band I never saw enough of, I saw them twice but wish I could have seen them a thousand times, I love this band, the Uli and Jabs eras, I love both!
