She thought that only Syleiman had all the power. Didn't she had or wanted any power? Or she wanted to say that Mustafa wasn't innocent? This should be Syleiman's interrogation, he should interrogate about Mustafa's possible betrayal and then if he would find something, then he should act just like he wanted. Hurrem may deny it that she had made him execute Mustafa, but she shouldn't place herself apart from this plan, because this answer shows that she wants to hide herself, to avoid something. And let's admit that she had an alliance with Rustem, even if she never admitted it, the History and this show/serie speak the truth. Because the one made Syleiman to execute Mustafa and Hurrem should blame herself for her sins. After all, there is anyone who is saint, so Hurrem did many sins as well and the first sin that she committed was her arrogance, the fact that she dared to say that Syleiman would be her slave. What an arrogance, Syleiman was the one who had slaves, Sultanas and Princes as well, not Hurrem (it is different to have slaves and to have for slave the Sultan himself, that's not possible). That's why she payed the price with Cihangir's death, with Mehmet's as well, because of her arrogance and because of her greedy in order to leave the throne to one of her children (Mehmet in real life had died by natural causes, because of the plague, there is no "because of Mahidevran" in real life).

@@prajupatil2 Let's suppose that Mustafa was a traitor, Ibrahim as well, because there must be evidence about it. But we don't have evidence that Mahudevran (in real life), she killed Mehmet or not, otherwise why are you sure that she did it in real life? Don't look what Mahidevran did at the serie, this is just a show. In real life we will never see what happened, unless if there will be a future machine, that will be able to travel back in the time. And I don't know if Hurrem killed Mustafa, but she played a huge part at his execution. The one who killed him was Syleiman. Otherwise, why Syleiman killed him? He may have the evidence, but neither they were enough, nor he believed that his son had done such a thing. So why he killed him? Because Hurrem made him killed him. After all, wasn't Hurrem was the person that Syleiman always loved, hear her and made whatever she wanted? She even convinced him to give her Syleiman's mother's room, which was not-permitted to be given at anyone, it was supposed to be empty, if you remember. I don't know what happened to real life, but through this show, I can see that Hurrem was persuading Syleiman all the time, otherwise how all these executions (and not only) had happened? Hurrem must had played part at them. Because there is no fire without a smoke.

I am so late to your comment, but it is SPOT FORKING ON! I have never watched a series, movie, video, anything that had such perfect music for each scene! I love Ahmed and Kosem's theme music from Magnificent Century, Kosem. And I love how they keep the same theme for each character throughout the series

While I'm no fan of Fatma i respect her little speech there Suleiman defending hurrem was nice and he had a point hurrem doesn't want anyone to rule aside from him but while i understand hurrem i find it pathetic how he holds on to power even at the price of his family, in that sense hurrem is way better than him she would give her life and power in a heartbeat for him or her children , she almost killed herself when she thought firuze won him , power changed her but she kept her priorities straight unlike him he cares about himself most of all

Fatma speech was full of lies and speculation... She accused the Sultan of being unfair/unjust to Ibrahim, Hatice, Mahidevran and Mustafa. When in reality they caused their own fates and well as she due to power, jealousy and ambition. I've never saw Suleiman be unfair to anyone but Hurrem!

How fast men in this story forget about the late wives

It was kind of brave to see Hurrem, undeterred and confident, go past the crowd as a true Sultana who knew how to confidently face what comes ahead where every other Sultana failed (the sisters of Suleiman) and Sultan Suleiman rushing on-time to protect his wife (the haseki sultan- not a mere hatun he would step forward for). It was a "Made for each other' moment. Script was superb here.

Suleiman didn't kill Hatice or Cihangir but Fatma was certainly no better regarding family given that she set up her nephews to fight each other because Hurrem was their mother. All the evil "ladies" acted like the only prince was Mustafa for some reason. I liked Hurrem telling Fatma that even if she stumbled over a stone she would blame Hurrem for it. Pretty much sums it up.

@@sherriegray6963 exactly, the reason why I always prefer hurrem over rest of these sultanas in this show is because she never behave like she is innocent. She always say she had no choice because doing nothing would kill her kids for sure , she is not innocent but all these sultanas behave they are some pure soul . they can't act accordingly and hurrem always win and they behave like they lose because hurrem is demonic and they can't achive that evilness when in truth they can't beat hurrem as she is smarter . Also while fatma was cursing hurrem she was technically cursing suleiman as well , saying that hurrem deserved what happend to her is like saying you deserved it too as suleiman lost what hurrem lost as well .

@@sherriegray6963 Fatma also deliberately encouraged her niece, Hurichihan, to get involved with Bayezid - knowing full well, that that would be considered a highly inappropriate match. Thereby setting her up for heartache and banishment from the palace. Of course, she couldn't forsee them secretedly marrying...which ultimately cost Hurichihan her life and (among other things) Bayezid his father's approval. With all that came with that. Not exactly what you would expect from an aunt to an orphaned girl, who was left in her charge. Not to mention, how she meddled with Mirimah's marriage, while feigning friendship and concern. Totally disgusting. And it doesn't even make sense, imo. Why exactly, was she so focused on Mustafa, in the first place? As the story is told here, she barely even knew him. I mean, she might have been prejudiced against Hurrem, because of her sister's reports. But in that system, the Sultan's children were considered *his* progeny, with the mother being all but irrelevant, really. Hatice especially made that clear and more then once.

I was really waiting for this episode !

Hurrem only really showed Suleiman Ibrahims words and that got him killed he said that Suleiman is a lion and he controls him he tames him that's highly offensive Suleiman did not intentionally kill Cihangir he was grieving heavily so was Cihangir on top of his severe health issues neither were in the right mind so I don't think Suleiman or Hurrem should be blamed for his death Beyazid isn't even dead yet and Hurrem and Suleiman doesn't kill him Selim does you should really blame Nurbanu and Selim for that because she's always pushing him to do such things so he can have the throne. Hurrem made it VERY clear she did not want to have her sons fighting or kill each other but realized it was inevitable because of their hatred for each other. Hurrem does not cause everything. She has not blinded Suleiman. And don't forget Mahidevran did kill Mehmet before Hurrem had Mustafa killed. But in such a situation Mustafa's death would've been inevitable anyways because of the forming rebellion even if he didn't want it to happen they were still going to go against his wishes to kill Suleiman and put Mustafa on the throne. All Hurrem did was really speed it up.

Bayezid such a hypocrite! He spoke about "brotherhood" to Selim. But he is the one that always been so rude, disrespectful, and arrogant to Selim! He chose Mustafa over Selim and always thinking that he is much better than Selim. Selim been always chill and remain calm whenever Bayezid and Chihangir mocking him. Even Selim showed his condolence and tried to give moral supports when Hurichihan died. Selim still know how to behave and handle Bayezid like a real older brother. Now bayezid wants to play victim and act like he is the good one. Disgusting! Thousands time I would say Selim is much better than bayezid.

The reason Bayazid is so harsh to Selim is cause of his childhood insecurities. Selim ain't innocent either, he bullied Bayazid when he they were kids. However, once they grew up, Selim became mature. I prefer Selim cause he is realistic and also uses his mind, Bayazid gets too excited and angry easily. Bayazid is really talented but he is a spendthrift. Also I feel Selim can read people better than any of his siblings, this quality of his is sooo underrated!

Oooooook...so. Bayezid's beloved wife is murdered, the mother of his two children declared guilty and put to death...and we're treated to a steaming, hot s** scene between him and a girl he only just met. And apparently he's 'in love', not just craving some excitement/distraction.
