Magneto Kills Wolverine

Ойын-сауық

In this video, we dive into one of the most iconic moments in Marvel Comics history with X-Men #25, when Magneto, at the peak of his powers, rips the very essence of Wolverine - his Adamantium skeleton - straight out! This unforgettable clash not only redefined Logan's character, but sent shockwaves throughout the entire Marvel universe. The raw brutality, intense drama, and the ripple effect on our beloved X-Men - we're unpacking it all!
▸ Fatal Attractions: Magneto returns, more powerful than ever, and Professor X realizes it's time for their decades-long conflict to end, permanently. @@tangiblemammal5273, I think it was a mixed bag when it came out, because I recall that people thought-even for X-Men-it was nonsensical. But it was brilliant because it finally posed the question: What happens when both Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr take off the gauntlets not just Professor X vs Magneto: but when their ideologies finally clash. No one expected it to mix and reconstitute itself as Onslaught. And it stems from Wolverine getting his adamantium ripped out. It was epic lol so the writing was a little wonky leading up to it, but the results are undeniable. lol

The best part of this story is about how the idea came up. According to legend, the X writers were sitting around talking out the story, and one said "If I was Magneto I would rip the metal out of Logan."

@@EddiePGRPlayer420 I’m curious as well. Tbh, i think it’ll be a short lived series in comparison to the original after this. Wolverine with no adamantium tends to hardly get any animated screen time due to the nerf *It’s a durability nerf although it’s a buff in terms of now having his full regen* and they really aren’t utilizing gore, so I just don’t see where bone claw wolverine will hold up. His bone claws also can’t hurt the majority of the greater foes. So I’m thinking they’re maybe just doing straight shot to onslaught and call it a day.

I will *never* forget my first time reading this! I was in 9th grade when a friend of mine had brought all 6 hologram carded comics to school and let me read them throughout the day. I got to X-Men #25 in the last hour of the day, and was completely floored! I had to give his comics back, so I went home thinking, "They just took everything from Logan!" No more adamantium-laced skeleton, claws, or even a healing factor. I for real thought he had been "reduced" to a human. It was a very long bus ride home. Wasn't until the next day that I was able to read Wolverine #75 and had the second biggest shock of my life! I made sure to get every single issue after that to see how he got along, and quite honestly, I loved it! His encounters with Lady Deathstrike and Cyber are my favorite.

X-men 25 was one of the first “collectors” issues I ever got. As a HUGE Wolverine fan (and a Gambit fan) I was so happy to get this, and Wolverine 75 and treated them SO DELICATELY. I’m also not able to think of any other time Marvel put a HOLOGRAM on the cover, let alone that they did one for EACH cover of the Fatal Attraction books.. Currently, I’m missing the Uncanny X-Men and Excalibur issues of Fatal Attractions..

Not only did Wolverine lose his adamantium as he turned to feral Wolverine, but he lost his nose too lol. I personally loved the Onslaught saga. It's what got me back into comics again as a teenager as the saga was going on. Still got my issues wrapped and boxes up lol

It is mentioned a few times that Jean and the Professor use their telepathy on Magneto even with the helmet on or mentioned that Xavier increases his attack once the helmet is off, but at this point in the comics, Magneto's helmet wasn't canonically blocking telepathy. That wasn't introduced until after the X-Men Movie in 2000 when it was used in the movie and then later made its way into comic cannon.

They were trying to do it subtly because Magneto has natural resistance to telepathy thats been honed over the years

I remember reading this book to my late older brother back nearly 8 years ago. It was brutally epic. Not to mention. I know another Manga character that's like Wolverine but a Half Human and Half Dog Demon? Inuyasha. The simulatities between these two? One they both rarely aged out, two they both have healing factors, three they are both great fighters, four there both swordsmaster I know it's rare to see Wolverine other weapons, five there both hotheads, six they both have older sibling that despise them, seven they were outcast as kids, eight they both had been on a love triangles that quickly fall apart, nine they both have berserk rage. It's all I can think of for now.

@@StoryCreator8 The problem with Magneto is that he goes about poking people with a sharp stick and then going "See, see! I told you all along!" when they respond to being poked the way anyone would respond to somebody poking them with a sharp stick. By the time Magneto MIGHT have moved to a more peaceful footing he'd done so much damage and proven himself to be such a threat that they CANNOT leave him alone. Because one day he will decide to attack again.
