I love Face of Jimmy Fallon very much when he smile.

I know a lot of people are hating on the magnetic ring idea but I think that is the answer. the bill already has everything written on it. the ring and coin are both magnetic. if you notice in other videos with him, the ring is on the opposite hand. he switched it for this trick. he has jimmy choose. once he turns around he mentions each time that it could be either in jimmy pocket (points to pocket) or in his hand (points to hand) when he points, that is when he uses the ring to get a read on where the coin is. then he tells jimmy to think of the words he wrote on the bill. these words can be interchanged. he assigns the correct word to where the coin already is. forcing jimmy to choose that word. no hypnotism. no body language reading, that was a misdirection.

No. Its subtle cues the human gives away. I've been working on this concept for a while now. You'll notice when it was in his hand the first time, he kept glancing at his hand. Then when he put it in his pocket the second time, the give was that he was glancing at his pocket. The third time was the singing he said (so I didn't watch his eyes, but I assume they did the same thing) he avoided microphone (which was the saying from last time). I do a similar trick but with both hands behind their back. I've been struggling with the subtle cues, but I'm getting better!

He has a very sensitive, tiny metal detector in his sleeve or hand, and it sends a signal to an earbud in his ear. Before the performance, he wrote down red, coffee cup and Questlove. When Jimmy holds out his hand, the metal detector either beeps or it doesn't, which tells Dan whether or not the coin is in his hand (once Dan puts his detector close to Jimmy's hand which he does each time). If it's in his hand, he would say that red is hand, blue is pocket. If the coin is in his pocket, he woud have said red is pocket, blue is hand. So red, coffee cup and Questove will be picked no matter what.

Mayo Yeah, that's definitely not how he did it. Reading of body language is not 100% reliable even if you're really good at it. He can't leave anything to chance during a live, televised performance.

There is something in Dan's right hand sleeve that tells him whether the coin is in Jimmy's hand. You see at 1:41, 2:43, and 3:59 Dan adjusts his right sleeve with his left hand. Following each, he puts his right hand close to Jimmy's right hand. Whatever it is, it is the key to how he knows if the coin is there or not before he assigns red, coffee cup, and Quest Love for Jimmy to "think" about. You see whatever is under his right sleeve at 5:40 and he adjusts again at 6:03 so he doesn't reveal it...

His laugh is so adorable it makes me do happy😂❤️

it's very simple: coin is rigged to be detected via magnetic sensor, which is in magicians pocket. before giving options he moves close enough to Jimmy's pocket to determine where the coin is. then he changes the order of the options to match the order on the 10 dollar bill.

Dee Jay Cee He already did. If the magician is going to know every time if the coin is in his hand or not, then the magician can decide what corresponds to the coin being in the hand or not. For example: The magician already had written on the note, the words red, coffee cup, and made a bill with Quest Love on it ahead of time. Then he asks Jimmy to put the coin in his hand or pocket. The magician knows if it's in his hand or pocket every time (by whatever means he happens to know this), so all he has to do is think "ok it's in his hand so this time that means red" Next time he knows it's in his pocket so he decides that in the pocket means coffee cup. The third time he knows it's in his hand so he tells Jimmy that means Quest Love. So there you have it. As long as the magician can know if it's in his hand or pocket every time, then he can tell Jimmy what that means. Jimmy never really has a choice in the matter.

He knew if it was in his hand or not before he said what to think about because Jimmy would blink or close his eyes and think. That would be before he would suggest what he would think about if it was in his hand, such as thinking of a coffee cup. But he would assign the coffee cup or whatever else he had on the $10 bill to Jimmy's hand or pocket, whichever one the coin actually was in. He didn't trick Jimmy, he tricked the audience into believing that the decision of in his hand or in his pocket was after he assigned what to think about, but he already could tell when he first asks if it's in his hand. You can tell he pauses after that then assigns who or what to think about.

Watch the video again, after you turn your caps lock off, and watch Jimmy. He blinks when the guy says the right words. It's not mind reading, it's suggestion. Now go get a magnet and see if you can pick up American coins with it. Sure, it could have been a Canadian coin, but American coins aren't magnetic.

Wendy Willason nope, wrong. I've seen this before. The woman pulls her legs up to the top box, and pushes some prosthetic ones through the holes in the bottom, before he saws the box in half. That's why he used the board to cover up the ends, cause you would've seen her feet.

well this one is easy :) He had a magnet placed in his ring or somewhere in the hand area. And you can see that he leans his hand to Jimmy's pocket and Jimmy's hand everytime before naming him the options. After he knows where the coin is he says red or blue etc. (as he has the answers written on the bill, all he has to do is to associate red, coffee cup and QL to the right answers. which is very easy as he knows where the coin is everytime) Still a nice trick. I can't figure out the other trick he did on the show. Guy with the envelope did not do anything. (I was not on the show, but my friend was with his wife. They swear he was barely moving during that trick)

no way, it's a very easy trick, look it up on the internet. Magician has a special magnet on his palm, he can feel the vibration when it gets near the coin. No matter how big a stooge Jimmy is, Dan could easily make a mistake by guessing. So no, you are wrong. When it comes to tricks with coins magicians always use magnets.

Okay i think i figured out he did it , firstly the note always had those three things on it so it wasnt tampered with , note that he always suggested things to jimmy after he had already made the choice. So he had on his a tell on weather or not the coin was in jimmys hand or not (which could have been a magnet or metal detector his ring as it goes by jimmys pocket and hand multiple times or something simple as how he held it or the blood in his hand or even organised before hand which would be really lame) then he made the suggestion based on the fact that he already knew where the coin was. Pretty simple.

Jimmy did choose by having it either in his hand or in his pocket. The objects were still going to be mentioned no matter which he picked. The secret is the mind game in the beginning when Dan mentions that people usually do the same thing twice, making Jimmy want to do the opposite. Dan already knew what order he would choose to place the coin so he knew when to mention what object. But it was still Jimmy's choice.

If you look at the set and people, Jimmy was programmed into making biased choices. Watch the video again, paying close attention to the colors red and blue. The stage lighting was dimmed, with strategic red or blue highlights. On the second guess, he points Jimmy to think of his coffee cup on his desk (where the back wall is lit BLUE with minimal red)... and when he asks him to think of the coffee cup, he snaps his finger up in the air to draw Jimmy's attention to the blue wall, and snaps it low to think of his pocket. When he asks again for Jimmy to choose, Jimmy's eyes twitch and react. Jimmy made it easy. On the third guess, notice that at 4:12 he purposely places his finger directly in front of Jimmy's face and 'taps' towards Questlove (who is wearing a RED HEART), and then (presumably, since it's off-screen) only refers to Higgins (who is wearing a BLUE suit/shirt). And the final reveal of the bill at the end? No magic whatsoever. Dan White knew _exactly_ where he was leading Jimmy. He just wrote down the answers ahead of time, and even threw in a nice drawing of Questlove on the bill.

guys don't be so crazy jimmy isn't in on it. only magicians and their assistants can be in on it. he may be doing something and not know but as a magician you don't reveal your secret like that. no matter how famous you ate

when ever jimmy has it in the pocket, he will think about the thing that is associated with the pocket like with the coffee cup, when dan said to think of the coffee cup, he looked up to think about a coffee cup, and when he said think of red, he immediately blinked

Okay here's how he really did it: He first red his mind, then he finished the show, gone home and traveled back in time to tell himself the answers, then he made a bill with the answers, then he used teleportation device from the future to put the bill in his pocket. Really cheap trick if you ask me...

Jimmy's reactions reminded me of Johnny Carson.

Its a good trick but Jimmy is sooo easy to read that I knew where the coin was each time. The fact that Jimmy wanted him to mess up so bad is what made it more funny.

It's fun to see everybody saying he read his face or expressions. But actually he has a RING which is a MAGNET, he puts it close to Jimmy's pocket and thus learns if the coin is there or not. The he gives the choice to him, red or blue, ....

Oooh this one is soooo easy that I could do it! The choices weren´t choices. He just said those things depending on whether he knew the coin was in his pocket or hand - and everything was prewritten in the bill as he had 100% control over the situation at all times. Now in terms of the coin is is EASY to tell where it is. The coin is large and your middle finger will stick out slightly when you are clenching your hand and when you don´t have it in your handle, all fingers will more or less be aligned. Job done. Thank you and good night!

You can tell already where the coin is by jimmy's nonverbals when the guy gives tells him to think about another object to indicate if it's in his pocket or hand. Just look at jimmy's expression and his sighing
