Unfortunately the song "This used to be my playground" was played during the credits of the movie, so therefore it was not eligible for a nomination.

Madonna was great in this! Madonna was great in A Leaque Of Their Own and great cast. Tom Hanks Madonna Rose O Donnell Geena Davis Hard to believe this movie is 25 yrs old still a classic. The 90s were great madonna did a song called This Used To Be My Playground. Always made me cry.

Love this movie and Madonna was great in it.

I read somewhere she was first offered that part but I guess acting opposite statuesque Geena would make her look like a 🦐😆. No seriously, I thought she could've been great in that small wonder ambitious type of character. That's Madonna's persona anyways.

That song sequence is very much like the one she did in Evita

the irony that at this time I was 21, 12 yrs into living without tv. my only exposure to her was tabloids and fan club memberships and limited opportunities of the occasional rare glimpse of her on tv. I remember the only extended time I saw a tv scree it was for her music videos and. OH! the CLUBS and YET..... her influence AND presence was UNAVOIDABLE. in my limited access to herand living in a world without tv can be a lonely and confusing realm. she's been nothing but a true personal inspiration and attestment to this day. smartest lady to tap into the what what she called the "literary giants"
