MADEIRA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL COASTAL HIKE: ESPIGÃO AMARELO
Espigão Amarelo is one of my favorite coastal hikes on Madeira. It truly has it all. Beginning on the famous Vereda do Larano, this trail takes a secret detour up onto the gnarly ridge of Espigão Amarelo.

My hiking guide: I did this hike with a local guide (also a great friend) called João. He’s lived in Madeira his whole life and knows all of the unique trails (not just the popular ones). Those tree branches and roots are our salvation 😁
Please be careful on bike trails like the one on Boca do Risco as it may be dangerous if someone encounters you on a steeper section and can't slow down. Though local bike guys probably can say more and it's probably not an issue. Just pointing it out to be safe Still keep up the amazing work. It's funny I followed your guides and Bali and now you are stuck on my favorite Island. I wish I knew of the trails you found in my last 2 Madeira trips but I will be coming back many times and will probably contact Joao next time I'm there.
