The villain being barefoot is actually a thing from the comics, although that really just shows that the movie didn’t adequately explain the character. I believe in the comics Ezekiel is barefoot because it allows him to use the spider-man wall crawl sticky powers because it doesn’t work through shoes.

I haven't seen the movie and I am certainly not defending it. You are criticizing the computer AI technology that Ezekial uses, but it is a comic book movie where technology often doesn't exist in the real world. How is this any different from Iron Man or Ultron? Just from seeing this review, this movie is drastically different from the source material. The whole movie is a complete departure from the comic character who is simply a plot device for Spider-Man to save from the villain (the Juggernaught? - not sure it's been a long time since I read it). At least with Morbius it mostly followed the story line in the comics. This is a different story entirely so evidently the writers completely failed to make a movie that made sense. Of all the side characters in the Spiderman universe, Madam Web is not a character that should have received its own movie. The writers had to pretty much start from scratch with very little character development to base an entire movie off of.

I LOVE watching reviews of this movie! It's better than watching the actual movie. Hell, it's like it's own cinematic universe. Everybody is on-code, and the central theme is... NOBODY knows ANY of the characters' names. And NOBODY even cares. Just... WOW! Hollywood is on fire.

He was barefoot in the comics, but if he never wore the spiderman costume it might've did so much better. This was only an origin story, nothing more. Sony just should've let Raimi do the filming since Spiderman was so much better with Tobey and Tom...only!!!

4 Star Diner makes some sense as restaurants aren't ranked 1-5 stars like hotels. This rather seems to refer to the Michelin system that awards up to three stars and then say "We go beyond that!"

This review was much easier to digest when played at double-speed. OP complains about slow-mo plot and theatrics, and yet says just about everything four times also. I've never had much joy watching reviews that complain the whole time. Better to just review, then quickly give your opinion at the beginning or end... but to complain the whole time through an inexplicable 40 minute review... over a two-hour movie... I actually couldn't sit the review even at double-speed.

No. The movie is just really, really bad. Far worse than Morbius. The fan rating and box office are also worse for this than Morbius. Do not trust your friend about anything. He or she has terrible opinions.
