This is just from all the people who said "I'll wait to see how bad it is when it comes out on streaming" when it came out. This shouldn't be surprising or shocking to anyone.

This actually isn’t surprising. If you’re an average movie watcher and you see that the latest new comic book movie is available, you’ll probably sit down and watch it not knowing it’s god awful. Once you find out 5 minutes in that it is garbage, you’ll probably turn it off.

My female co workers just watched this film the other day. They both enjoyed it. They’re not huge marvel fans and enjoyed it

I don’t care, I loved the shit out of this movie, it was easily the greatest trainwreck of a movie I’ve seen in years, I was howling with laughter the entire time and it was an absolute masterpiece of crap

My wife and I watched it last night. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The villain is HORRIBLE and the story was weak. That doesn't imply is was GOOD, but I was expecting to absolutely hate it instead of enjoying Sydney Sweeny running.

It feels way better to watch it on a streaming service i pay for. Then, to actually pay to watch it in the theater. Either way i think there was a way better movie behind all that editing. Feels like they completely changed the story at the end of filming this thing.

That's exactly my reaction to my friends. Same thing with Morbius. There is a good movie in there. We like to blame Sony for a lot but the MCU changes and Spider-Man politics forced a rush edit of it. Tbh I think most pandemic movies were handicapped and poorly edited.

Sydney Sweeney is so hyped right now I think people are curious as to why.

Rubber necking a traffic accident is popular is too, doesn’t mean it is any good. I watched it and heard it was a bad film, but I think I watched the worst superhero movie ever. I heard Morbius was bad, and watched it and it wasn’t great, but terrible. But Madame Web took me 5 sittings to watch it as I fell asleep 3 times during it and had to cut it off once as it was so boring. Nothing like the source material, bad acting and dialogue, not much action and next to no superheroes in the movie. They have stretched out a one act for the entire movie in an origin story. So you basically spend the whole movie with the main character discovering her powers and you see her as the hero in the last few seconds of the movie.

How long do you have to watch it for Netflix to count it as “watched” for their stats?

Idk why John acts like Minus One had bad vfx… I can only think of one shot in the movie that looked subpar. I understand thinking the Creator should have one, but I can’t see how the vfx in madame web are even anywhere near to minus one

Yeah, it bothers me. I won’t argue that the creator would have deserved the win, but I don’t know anyone else who has said the vfx for Godzilla were subpar besides John. I don’t know what he saw, but it still had very good vfx, better than many movies we get frequently. Again, I’m not saying it had the best vfx, but they are very good

@@tacobell4542 We are in complete agreement. I thought the VFX were great for Minus One. Just not the best of 2024. Even though I don’t care for the film, I thought The Creator was the best VFX of 2024.

It's a basic superhero movie. The only things I found unbearable were everything about the bad guy and some of the dialogues in the first act.

My wife was going to press play on madame web I stopped her and asked if she really wanted to watch it she said yeah cause it’s spider man right? I s explain as simple as I could she watched it all I heard was” the h*ll was this?” I laughed so hard

I watched it to see how bad it was. It was bad as everyone said it was. I get why people were laughing in the theatres.

I bought it just watched it actually liked it. It's not bad although I completely understand why most people would hate it. Her powers are hard for most to comprehend. Feels like it's set on the Andrew Garfield Tom Hardy Jared Leto universe.

I think it felt like a 2003 movie because they were trying to make it feel like one for the timeline in the actual movie. I just think that they miscalculated how horribly it would register with its audience. I watched it and it gave me 2003 movie so it felt more nostalgic but not the Marvel quality. It had a chessy factor to it and the movie moved fast as far as storyline not connecting seamlessly.

When my sister told me she was watching this I was confused. I said you didn't pay to rent that did you, and she said no it was on Netflix. She said she was enjoying her train wreck of a movie but then it had a stupid ending. lol. 😅

I plan to see the movie on streaming to find out if it really is as bad as everyone claims. I thought Morbius was one of the worst Marvel live action movies of this century, but not as bad as most others apparently do. So I will watch Madame Web on streaming one day, although it's not currently available on Netflix here in Germany. And if it is that bad, I'll really have to think about if I'll ever see Kraven on any medium.

Re-Release when Sony? I NEED THE CINEMATIC EXPERIENCE!

The movie is fine. The negative comments are very suspect. There is lots of barely watchable cr*p out there that reviewers praise. We can simply no longer trust these reviewers because lots of them have a agenda may it be ideological or financial. And stuff like Rotten Tomatoes does little to get rid of these reviewer trolls.

It's not that bad... I actually enjoyed it... ngl.

While it's by no means a perfect movie I didn't hate Madame Webb as much as I thought I would. I think people's negative reactions are why I went in with little to no expectations. It'll become a cult film over the years I think.

Finally saw Madam Web since it was on Netflix. I didn’t hate it, felt like a Friday night hang out cheesy movie. Wasn’t great or anything don’t get me wrong

Number 1 on Netflix doesn’t mean it’s the best. The movie dropped at midnight and in the morning it was number one.

It's crazy that you need a certain teir to watch Madame Web. I was curious about it, and found out I had to go up a teir to watch it. Nope

If you have Netflix it’s free to watch, if I had Netflix I’d put it on to laugh at it.

I was disappointed it wasn’t as bad as John Campea made it out to be. I thought it was going to be Morbius bad, but it’s like the quality of an average Netflix sci-fi film or show. It’s not Rebel Moon: Scargiver bad, but it around the quality of those weird European Sci-fi films like Troll (2022).

I tried to watch it at home and switched it off it was annoying me so much. Sony are so irresponsible with money!

I watched and it and it was as bad as John said it was! Netflix has nothing else that great to watch right now so they definitely took advantage of that.

So Netflix is a drop box for bad movies and shows when they can’t get musical films but docu-musicals and a few concerts.

Just proves nobody wanted to see this in theaters, but instead on streaming. I watched it the other day and my thoughts are it wasn't bad, but it wasn't the best. I've seen worse.

I am having friends over tonight for a bad movie night and we are super excited for this movie!

Guess a lot of people in Netflix have moms were doing research in Amazon when their parents died.

People wanted to see just how bad this movie was. And if you watch it with friends to laugh at how bad it is, it can be a fun communal experience. Plus, since it’s on streaming, you’re not spending money in theaters, which would’ve been an absolute waste on this movie😂🤷🏻‍♂️🍿🎥🎬 Me personally, I saw the Reel Rejects reaction to Madame Web and this movie really was horrible😭😂

I watched it. It was on par with how bad Andor was in terms of "entertainment".

I don't understand about the backlash about this movie. It was great. But I never had a issue with it. What am I missing here? I getting sick and tried of ppl saying. Every movie has to be pitch perfect. No misses no nothing. If not what i expected to be. Then this movie is dog shit garbage. So I shouldn't watch it. So i should hate ppl who do like it.

Yea it’s a fun bad movie, I mean saw it in theaters by myself. I had fun with it, then again I had more fun with this many other bad movies like Ladyballers.

The ambulance was my favorite character
