I'm just going to say it, Madame Hydra's design is so damn beautiful while being badass and tough to beat, She may not be the Madame Hydra figure we all wanted, But to me, In my honest opinion, She is 75% close to being awesome, Still, Fantastic review Manny.

Thank you bro. I respect your opinion. There are things I genuinely like and things that I dislike. Overall, better than that atrocious figure from 2012.

The issue with the head sculpt are the eyes. She looks like she's in a trance. They should be narrower so to show her looking sinister.

Yeah but I can pull up a bunch of comic panels for you where she has these crazy eyes lol. So I think they were going for one of those crazy looks but didn’t translate well. I agree with you though, more neutral, almost seductive looking eyes would’ve worked best.

AWESOME story time. I love the head sculpt, I really wish we’d gotten a better body for this important character.

I think every time you do a photo shoot with Hydra troopers you should take a second pic with Hydra Bob in there too cause I love him. Totally agree with all your points here. Great review as always!

Lol! I’ll keep that in mind next time. I think I shot one with Hydra Bob in my Baron Zemo review.

My first introduction to Madame Hydra/Viper was the Solo Wolverine comics that were released in 1982!

I honestly really like this figure… love the face sculpt!!! 😍😍

kudos to you for a very comprehensive history and origins of Madame Hydra in all forms of media. Many fans doesn't know that she's the ex-wife of Wolverine.. 8-)

I would have liked the updated buck also, but I remember people complaining when they used the same body for dormammu and red skull in the same wave.

just cause a new mold exists now doesn’t mean when Viper was designed and additional parts tooled up internally that “Shriek” mold existed. Products get designed and “pre fabricated” before they are placed in a wave sometimes. Viper is a case of an “older design” finding a home in a wave.

This figure is right in the middle. Not terrible but not great. The head is probably the best part, but I don't think it is comic accurate. The AOA Rouge legs would have gone a long way with this figure

Hydra...er I mean Hasbro keep producing characters I want but on outdated bucks that I don't want. The new multi pack of Spidey villains is a prime example. They also skimp on the accessories. When they make figures like this that don't sell I guess they assume the character is unpopular, when a lot of us want them, but not on crappy old bods.

Yeah they need new body molds for this decade. No way can they keep giving us outdated bodies from last decade. It’s not going to go well for them. Not with these new price hikes.

You can paint the Quake head if you got two to make the short haired look

the fact that thr shriek buck has been out for a while now makes this soo dissapointing id get the figure only so i can use the head hands and accessories for a custom using the shriek body

Great review, Manny. I always enjoy storytime. Idk. Madame Hydra has that look of shock head sculpt. I have her on my Avengers villains shelf. Imo she is a below average figure. Yet I bought her to complete Controller.

Thanks for the thorough review X-Manny. This is another example of Hasbro’s laziness and lack of effort. This Madame Hydra should have had a newly sculpted, pinless body with double hinged elbows and a much better head sculpt. Also, the lacking of accessories, makes it not worth the price point.

Thanks for the review Xmanny. I totally agree with the points you made and I would also like to add one more - her scar. This time of lazy ass effort really stings now that the prices are unforgiving. This one along with Quake and King Thor were the products from this wave I am most looking forward to. And as you out it; "they had ten years to upgrade it". If Hasbro knew that this product was going to be the inevitable peg-warmer why not put the extra effort into releasing those accessories you mentioned, or reduce the price?

Oh yeah. The scar would’ve been a neat touch. Especially since they showed enough room in the face behind the hair, to feature that sculpt. The effort is lackadaisical.

Personally don't care much about the pins. More bothered by the lifeless headsculpt. Some sort of evil expression, a smirk or something would've suit her way better.

Honestly I only want the figure to be added to my hydra collection 😅

Someone in one of another reviewers comments said if they were made in the same factory Maria Hill Quake/ Madam Hydra that they could only use one body mold per figure. I’m not sure how true that is though but it sounds kind of like a legit reason.

I love pinless tech. Makes the figure looks smoothed out like imports and you won’t get warping at the joints or have them pop out of place.
