that show never god canceled. It's been 30 years and it's still going strong today on TV land. Sanford and Son and Everybody loves Raymond are my favorite tv sitcoms. All in the family is ok too.

The guy playing Lamont was "Key" and the one playing Fred Sanford is "Peele". This skit was the time they were part of "MadTV" when they left the cast they went on to Comedy Central to star in their own show "Key And Peele"

Key did a dead on Lamont you can tell he was an actual fan of the show crappy Fred impersonation tho

I am suprised! Instead of parodying the show, this was more like a well thought out tribute!

Lamont was near perfect. Aunt Ester pretty dang good and Fred not as much but not bad either. What a hoot! I used to love that show.

@@adamsamuel8593 Naw, I suggest you go watch some sanford and son clips, it was definitely a weak Fred Sanford impression. I'm a fan of Key and Peele, but this was definitely not Peele's best impersonation. He had the movements down, but the voice/cadence was off.

As a guy who dedicated his channel to just Sanford and Son, I have to say this is one of the best skits in Mad Tv history! They do an amazing job here for sure!

These are the best spoofs of classic television ever!

i think the two playing fred and esther did a good job. they looked and sounded close enough to the originals and, most importantly, they delivered their lines and jokes exactly the way their characters did it back in the 70s. maybe you just think fred is done bad because the guy playing the lamont nailed his impression perfectly.

Such a great cast. So much talent. I sure miss the days of television where we had more laughter. 🔱 🖥 🏚🚚
