Lyrics:
Do the laughs die when
One such as I run
And allow myself
Time for own true needs
When convincing me
That you're on my team
May not lie to me
But not mentioning
So sit back and have
An hysterical
Laugh at tiny holes
Buy and trade men's souls
X-ray mind reads plenty
Worth no more than pennies
You, they, it or what
Have been fair, I thought
May you never free
You from you or me
See the more I think
I'm afraid to blink
I don't move an inch
Slowly draining me
Hire a spy and bug me
Pimp your friends for money
Rich and growing sicker
Sell the dead ones quicker

We're all so lucky that this show was filmed!!!! Enjoy some legends in their prime.
Best supergroup of all time
Complete robbery that we weren't able to hear more of these guys together. Like 4 pieces from different puzzles but yet they fit together perfectly.

I feel delighted that there are heaps of people keeping layne alive by listening to the masterpiece he left behind for us ..layne is a ultra fuckin’ legend in my book ॥

Based on the overall vibe, it feels as though Layne enjoyed jamming with McCready more than Cantrell . . . Layne sounds so natural, free, and joyous in Mad Season. Layne, McCready, Baker & Barrett just seems so chill and laid-back.
Probably my favorite song on Above. What a great band they were. It's a shame they didn't make more music together. But maybe that's what made it so special. That one moment of time that they came together to capture something brilliant. One of my top 3 albums from that era. Still listen to it all the time.

2:10 that scream ,loud scream incredible Layne we miss you. Scream of the century
So I had ordered the Mad Season 3-CD package and one of the CDs was live at the Moore. This song in particular BLEW MY MIND. Layne's voice sounds absolutely amazing--so strong, even hitting those higher notes--and Mike and Barrett are beasts on their respective instruments (Barrett does NOT get enough love!!). He really gave his all vocally on this one. After months of listening to AIC and MS on CDs/on line/videos, I _still_ have a difficult time memorizing their sometimes convoluted, thoughtful, deep & difficult lyrics. They don't simply roll off the tongue very easily. So aside from his powerful vocals, just the fact that he had all of those songs (both for AIC and MS) committed to memory, and rarely, if ever, tripped up when performing live (aside from the MTV live episode), still continues to astonish me. I can barely get my thoughts out coherently from my brain to my mouth. Those living in Seattle have been so lucky and blessed to be able to see Layne at the Moore fronting *TWO* different bands, and putting on two equally amazing shows. _Salut!_
I ❤ this song. RiP Layne the legend 😢💗
