I'm going out of my mind watching this! PLEASE cover those ballscrews! An old bicycle innertube slit down the seam would do wonders to keep those puppies healthy. You do some amazing work on that little beast. I'm currently developing a desktop machine and hope to have it ready to rock very soon! Keep up the good work!

When you had to flip the watch over to mill the underside, what method did you use to re-home the machine relative to the part you're milling?

It looks like the only operation on the underside was to clear the material so as long as it was square flat in the vise it would be fine - no need for any accuracy on the X and Y home 👍

Anyone know the dimensions of that vise? I made a mistake and purchased a 4 inch vise that was too big for my table but I thought these were too small

I don't care if it's aluminum. You need 10 times the cutting fuild PROBABLY MORE if you want that tool to last. Don't ask what I do for a job....

Hi there! Check out my DIY CNC machine here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/eXeBt8-SmqXYncY.html I bet the most COMPACT enclosed and aluminium-capable desktop CNC out there. Most COMPACT in a sense that it probably has the lowest ratio of overall machine volume to available working area. Let me know if I am wrong. For the records: - overall dimension: 400x360x520 mm - working area: 250x150x100 mm - ratio: 19,968
