MACEBELL SWING | Steel Mace 360 | Indian Martial Arts ft. Surya Kungfu

In this video I'm teaching Surya something about the mace, a basic introduction video on ho I would introduce the mace. Surya has been doing martial arts for his whole life, so I was expecting him to do well. I wasn't expecting him to do so well.

Excellent job Surya, you picked it up quite naturally! TFD your swings really showed how mobile the shoulders can become with that one arm 360 you did. Clearly an expert

Really great video. It was through my karate studies and using chi-ishi that I got into mace training. Nice to see crossover with a different martial art. Keep up the good work!!

Peace big man! Not sure the best way to reach you beyond commenting. Love all the vids about HOW to swing the gada/mace. Can you please share your ideas on WHY to swing? Especially from a martial arts perspective. It this is an Indian wrestling/war exercise then we would be be greatly enlightened by learning HOW/WHY it makes one better at wrestling/war. Thanks for all you do!

Hey man - just discovered your channel! excellent content, i discovered the Mace via Rik Brown. He has mentioned that you go over the opposite shoulder to which ever hand is on top of the other when holding the handle at the bottom. I noticed you swing over the same shoulder e.g. left hand on top, swing over left shoulder etc. My question is, does it matter which shoulder one swings over depending on hand placement? Thanks very much!

question . Do the two fists have to be together or can there be some space btwn two fists . for example when the mace is little bit too heavy for you it is more easy to control mace with little bit space btwn fists
