There is no affiliation being portrayed that hasn't been authorised. The black and white charity badge was adopted from the military, who have worn it for many years. It was adapted for police charity use by the inclusion of the thin blue line. Many officers are ex military and they requested permission to wear the badge to show their pride in their country and profession. The Home Office have authorised it's wearing on uniforms. The fire, ambulance and coastguard all have their own version also all authorised.

What a shock another police station with cops that don't know the law or come back to say no superior available we deserve better from public servants or am I off base
