The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Seems to echo the human experience more accurately than how we usually puff ourselves up. A previous commenter, spoke of lightheartedness, and we need that more than ever now.

The best magician ever ‼️
Bei ricordi! Un comico eccezionale!
I like the music, and I was really impressed by the newspaper trick, at first. 🙂
Sehr schön
The funniest ever...since early 60's , when I saw him at TV... Thank you for all what you gave us!
bravissimo
Fantástico!!!
I don't think the American audience quite got it at the time. As for us in Britain we had Tommy Cooper who was similar and spoke too. He was a sensation.

Just like that, Just like that. He was brilliant
love how he gave away the trick after performing it.
With the patience people have today if this guy had been on America’s Good Talent he probably would have gotten three XXX s before finishing.

A Legend🤗🤣🤲🏿
Remarkable
As said in the text, the video is from 1970. He is born in 1913 and dead in 2004, at 91. About the same age and the same style as Tommy Cooper. I believe they both watched what the other did ;-)
Unico inimitabile....irripetibile.
Grande
Was gonna say this reminds me of Tommy Cooper, but somebody beat me to it.
👏👏👏👍
When one is a bad magician, the best possible career move for them is to play the character of a bad magician

I have no idea if Mac Ronay spoke English but this guy had a good success mainly in France. Born as Germain Sauvard he died in 2004 at the age of 91. He was actor too in french movies.

Christopher Eccleston meets Tommy Cooper 🤔
E a caixinha vermelha?
Appears to have developed a similar act to Tommy Cooper, but without the banter. I certainly wouldn't say one influenced the other, because it appears they developed their acts at the same time but on parallel paths.
,⭐⭐⭐😂😋
geniale
me fait penser a quelqu un ... 😂
Looks like an old Al Buddy.
Doesn't half look like Tommy Cooper "Just like that. HaHa"
Theses is a little bit of Tommy Cooper in there somewhere 🤔

Timothy Carey's twin brother.
The French Tommy Cooper 🙂
Mmmm...???
Who came first? Was he ripping off Tommy Cooper or was Tommy Cooper ripping him off?
Not bad. Like a budget version of Tommy Cooper
Shades of Tommy Cooper
I never understood the appeal of him. Where does the talent lie?
Macaroni or Mc Cheese or perhaps Mc Sandwich ... Who is he and that's the question ?!
is that Spike Milligan?
Macron's father.
He look like he was drunk.
I know its all a joke but its still piss poor
He looks and acts like someone who is in danger of being "sectioned"
Is this funny???
not funny just exposing tricks....
Tommy Cooper rip off, only thing missing is fez, everything else is ripped off. I can only assume he built up his career impersonating Cooper, he looks like him dresses like him and even his hair is the same as some of his appearances. Entertaining all the same as long as ppl realise he's ripping off a great performer in every respect
This guy thinks he is TOMMY COOPER.... Not a patch on Tommy......yawn!!
Boring.
I don't call this magic ,👎
Plagiarism of Tommy Cooper, and not half as funny as the original,
One of worst magic show ever.
