She is absolutely adorable and her food is delicious. I only use her recipes for Korean food. I also love her sense of humor and her unique way of expressing herself.

I love Maangchi and am proud of her as one of Korean moms. I like her personality, passion for Korean cuisine, and even optimistic and positive attitude toward people around her.

I've been watching her for few years now, i am from Philippines and married to American and we have 13 yrs. old son we love Korean food and we always have kimchi and we have to eat at least 2-3 times Korean food a week, plus most of Saturdays and Sundays too.

I was born in the northeastern of China and we ate similar food but almost forgot how to cook after left. Now I have your recipe to follow and to recall my happy childhood. just love it.

Maangchi is the first and only one making me leave comments on KZread, good or bad. Maangchi what a great interview and sesion at the restaurant, and WNYC did a great job with the show...

I'm a military brat and one of my mom's coworkers was South Korean. She gifted us some Kimchi and the flavor has stuck with me since. I am 35 living in my native Puerto Rico and am in love with complex pungent flavors thanks in part to the fact that someone gifted us a taste from their home. I have loved trying Maangchi's recipes and looking forward to visiting South Korea someday . Thank you Maangchi, I have found love and inspiration in your yummy videos.

Koreans eat a lot of meat beef, pork, chicken. She needs to revisit Korea and experience new Korea. I think she will be in shock. Korean culture now is soooo weternised and global. she sounds as if she is taking 1970's Korea.

She grew up in the 70s so that makes sense. And she’s trying to educate people on traditional Korean culture/cuisine. She travels to Korean all the time. There would just be no point in her talking about the westernized aspects because Westerners already know western culture. For example, Chinese cuisine extremely popular in the United States and has been for centuries, but if I were to try to educate others about American cuisine, I wouldn’t be giving them recipes for mapo tofu, etc. I’d be giving them recipes for mac and cheese, hamburgers, pork and beans, chicken and dumplings, etc.

Funny my husband got stationed in Germany he was military we lived in housing 1 of my napor called the fire department saying we have a gas leak my napor cooked kimchee where my napor thought we had a gas leak lmao
