Shame about the Bronson MFG M-65. Mine has all the buttons and the quality is tip top. This applies to all of their stuff I own as well. Nevertheless, keep up the great work man. Loving these videos.

I have an old version of M65 from alpha Industries which is US made and it’s all about perfection, but now Alpha moved there production to china which is bad for them. If u r looking for the best M65 nowadays get one from Cockpit, a bit expensive but u will get the quality u r looking for. Thnx for sharing Mr Fjorde, looking forward for the next episode.

Yeah, when I heard that Alpha offshored their M-65 production, it lost all appeal. $225 for Made in China is criminal. Cockpit is the best Made in US M-65 for sure. Sizing is weird, but that's the result of it being true to the historical spec.

This has encouraged me to buy an m65 for the sawmill and splitting wood this winter.

Great work! Got the Iron Heart M65 and it is great but more of a updated M65. Looking for a The Real Mccoy`s version 2 for a more vintage inspired version as well.

I can't believe alpha industries let you down like that. The Buz Rickson is really cool looking, though. Thanks for the information.

As I remember, the quality of these garments was never top notch! Could be you would find these irregularities in the originals as well!

Good on you for setting a standard. If you pay that much for a jacket you expect them to be constructed to a good standard. Nice work 👍🙏

I have a Teesar M65 jacket, the liner was so small that I thought that it is for kids. I have sent the liner back and asked for one size bigger but I think I should have asked for 2 size bigger liner to fit the S-size jacket. The arms of the jacket are quite long, probably I should try to shrink them by washing and drying, I am not sure how these 50/50 NYCO coats shrink.

The video is very informative. Thank you. Unfortunately, I can not afford real McCoy, buzz rickson or Cockpit. Which one would you recommend among cheaper ones such as rothco, helicon-tex, mil-tec, alpha, etc. if I am to get a new one, not used one, currently available in the market?

I ordered a pair of Corcoran military jump boots once and they sent me two left boots. Sometimes you get a good laugh from this kinda stuff.

Not sure, All I know is that the vintage authentic ones were usually made of nylon. The M65 parka was made wool.

Real military stuff are usually just standard, not perfection. I get my m65 from military surplus, and none are perfect, but will get the job done.

For small budget bronson is the best. Someone told me that the japanese brands are better than the originals from the army. They are too perfect. The army wanted ready to fight clothes not ultra high quality stuff that a soldier don’t want to break. The best example is real mccoy leather jackets like the G1 and the real G1 from the 50’s. Real mccoy is like rolls royce but the army only needed good jeeps that do the job.
