    I only own chinos from PBJ so I can't really compare both fairly but I do own two pairs of Tanuki jeans and I do love their cut and fabric very much. I have the 101ID which is the 15oz and it feels so light, airy and comfy that I could swear they are like a 10-11oz instead. I also enjoy that the Tanuki fit for the straight isn't too crazy and their pockets (both front and back) are more western style (which is to say they are a bit bigger/longer) One day once my denim collection begins to dwindle a bit I'll get a pair of PBJ, I've heard/seen only good things

    You gave you height and weight. then at at 4:13 you say "it fits just perfect!...but you FAILED to give us the exact sizing of this jacket according to the sew in label, so how do we know what sizing will fit others who are of similar build to you?

    What weather do you wear an unlined jacket like this in? My thinnest leather jacket has a thin cotton lining and I can comfortably wear it up to 65 F (18 C). I've wondered if you can get away with an unlined jacket like this in warmer weather - or if it's the hide itself that makes the biggest difference

  • @Fjorde
    @FjordeАй бұрын

    I would say the hide itself makes the biggest difference. The lighter colour helps keep you cool, but it is 1.8mm - pretty thick. But this is good for patina, the more you sweat the darker it gets. 👊👊👊

    I dont get the part when you said japanese is true to size then the IH in the video is size 31 but they measuee 32.5. Shouldn't they be 32.5in insted of 31 if they are true to size?

  • @ivanortega3931
    @ivanortega3931Ай бұрын

    That’s because they’ll shrink to the tag size once washed (for unsanforized denim)

    I've had my M65 for almost 3 decades and ive never found anything better. It really is something you buy for a lifetime. Just make sure you dont get the fancy watered down crap from companies that try to make it a fashion item.

    As a kid watching first blood I had to have an m-65. Wore one through high school in OD green and was issued one in woodland. A cool jacket. Not very warm. Froze my ass off in infantry school in North Carolina but cool as a style. I have to say though. With so many surplus ones available I need to add one to my collection again. Thanks for the video. Really enjoyed it.
