Lynyrd Skynyrd - Blues Medley

I couldn't find this great song anywhere, so I purchased and wanted to share it with everyone. Enjoy! Lyrics below:
* Sweet Little Angel
I got a sweet little angel, I love the way she spreads her wings,
I got a sweet little angel, I love the way she spreads her wings, now,
She spread her wings around, I get joy in everything.
Asked my baby for a nickel, she gave me a twenty dollar bill, now,
I asked my baby for a nickel, she gave me a twenty dollar bill, now,
Asked my baby for a drink of liquor, she gave me a whiskey still, ah.
Alright,
I bought you a new Ford, you said I want a Cadillac.
Bought you a ten dollar dinner, you said thanks for the snack.
Let you live in my penthouse, Lord, you called it a shack.
Gave you seven children and now you wanna give em back.

Josh Sheets - You should listen to "heartbreaker" by Led Zeppelin, it's the same solo, not sure who wrote it first but I think they were showing respect to the other one by copying it (that's how I see it anyway).

Underrated by whom? Damn near anytime you read about Skynyrd people are raving about Collins. Could he play blues? Sure, but he wasn't a bluesman, he and the rest of the band were rockers, aimed at wild eyed country guys and gals.

I'm sitting here wondering if I'm still sane or not 😂 I thought I'd heard every song that Skynyrd had done and I'm 56 years old . I have never heard this song and it's really kinda embarrassing on my part because I am so obsessed with music especially Skynyrd being my favorite band ever . I just can't figure out how in the Hell I've missed this one and listen to ALLEN COLLINS !!! It's a Damn shame that these boys are still not with us and Allen Collins and Stevie Gaines are 2 of the greatest guitarist That's ever lived and that's not even debatable . Of course the S### they call music today is nothing but a bunch of hyped up BS that's mainly digital BS in my opinion but it sales and that's all these record labels are worried about . Thank you for posting this ! Now I'll sit here for the rest of the day listening to this over and over . And I guarantee you I can't find one person In my small circle of friends that's ever heard this ! And if they have then Im going to probably exercise my right to free speech and cuss them till a fly won't crawl around them for not telling me about it .

They could play the blues...the bitch is that if they had stuck only to blues they wouldn't have gone anywhere. I guess we have to be thankful for Southern Rock.
@kathyrais574

Maybe true. Music is bizarre at times. Look at Chris Stapleton, only thing that got him played on country was his bluegrass years otherwise where yould he get played. He is abt 10% country, rest is blues & soul I guess. He is abt only artist out now I listen to much, Blackberry Smoke & Eric Church. I am just as happy livin in the past listenin to Southern rock. I like progressive like Kansas, Tull, Genesis, Yes. Most real good music has died out. IMO. Skynyrd will always be my favorite band.
@mitchgawlik1175

@@kathyrais574 Thanks for your comment. Southern Rock in the '70s was Heaven sent. The Allmans, Wet Willie, the original members of Marshall Tucker, The Outlaws, Elvin Bishop and, yes of course, Skynyrd. I'll toss in The Charlie Daniels Band for good measure. I wasn't all that big on Charlie Daniels tunes but his "Birmingham Blues" cooks. Bands like Kansas and Boston left me cold. Their music was perfect but sterile, it had no soul, no real feeling. Yes and Emerson, Lake and Palmer were a different story, at least for me. Perfection.
@kathyrais574

@@mitchgawlik1175 Little Feat considered southern rock I hear, never knew what genre to call them, they were just The Feat, lived them. I never got sterile feel at all from Kansas, saw thrm twice in concert, thought they were amazing, not huge Boston fan & loved Charlie, but to each his own, we all have different tastes & at leaat back then there was enough types to go around
Do you feel it baby.....
Imagine how cool it would have been for Skynyrd to play that live back in the day!!!! So wish they would have
