Join us has we visit the historic Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway in Devon
This amazing water powered funicular railway is the highest & steepest fully water powered railway in the world and opened way back in 1888
As is a funicular railway there are 2 trains, one at the top and one at the bottom and as one goes down the other pulled up to the top powered by huge water tanks sat in the bottom of the trains both holding 700 gallons of water
This amazing railway is a must and is one of the most unique tourist attractions in the UK, there’s even a cafe at the top that sells its own branded merchandise
There is a small charge for the railway and you have to pay on each ride up or down, they take cards and dogs are allowed also it gives some incredible views across Lynmouth Bay

We were there last summer. Beautiful hot sunny day. Sorry 😂 If you go back you should also try the putting green down beside the river. Lots of fun. And there’s a couple of great ice cream parlers near the lift entrance 😉

Another great quirky travel vlog. Andy if you think about and get chance, any chance of a post after stay review, of the accommodation on leaving, be great to hear your thoughts on the places you stay. BTW what a lovely part of the country. I really enjoy these travel blogs and its nice to see Lisa in them and of course tilly 😉👍

Cheers for recording, sharing your experience of this cliff railway, love vintage and one day hope to travel & explore these places with family or friends. Noticed on a sign a.k.a poster on the bin there is a nearby miniature railway? After visiting RH&DR, might be worth visiting that railway? Just a suggestion? Its a smaller gauge I think or it might be same size? Not really sure? But yeah, cheers again & look forward to new travel content in future. 😀👍

@@Coaster_Crazy, Looked at it a.k.a the narrow gauge railway this afternoon & found it doesn't go that far which is a shame. Hopefully one day it goes the full route, but this is likely to not happen in our lifetimes. Most likely add a few new stations in our lifetimes, but yeah still would be good to extend further. But I guess will have to wait & see? But be good if was extended, at least for the railway itself. Still a good railway by what I searched about it, but to grow and attract more people? Maybe an extension would be good? Cheers again. :)

Hi Andy just been watching your vlogs from Devon. Was a bit confused?, because in your second vlog from Lynton you said you were going to go to the Milky Way Adventure park but it was too late. Then in your first vlog you were at the Milky Way saying you were then going to stay in Lynton and you had just driven 3 hours or so to get there to the park. Then it appears that both vlogs were filmed on the same day. Great vlogs as usual if a bit confusing.

Great vlog this one Andy actually prefer these vlogs something different, and as I have two dogs nice to know hotels are available for us dog lovers and we aren’t excluded, may be on a good thing with taking Tilly with you showing what’s available. Btw still disagree with your opinion on boba fett Series thought it was the nuts, basically opened the whole Star Wars universe back open again, looking forward to obi wan, best thing that happened to Star Wars Disney grabbing it,ignoring the poor casting of the movies they made.
