Lymphatic Drainage Routine to Breast and Chest after Lymph Nodes Surgery

Lymphatic drainage is one of the primary treatments for lymphedema or swelling to the breast and chest, but the direction of the massage does matter if you have had lymph nodes removed for surgery, damaged due to an injury or radiation, or if someone has lymphedema due to genetic reasons. In this video, I am going to show an entire lymphatic drainage routine for breast and chest lymphedema and swelling that someone can follow along with, and explain which direction to try and move towards if you have lymphedema with compromised lymph nodes and lymphatic system after lymph nodes are removed for breast cancer surgery, melanoma surgery, or others.

Thank you for this. Can this be performed after sentinel node dissection, to prevent lymphedema?

Thank you so much! I’ve watched many of your videos, but I think this one is the best for me. However, I do have a couple of questions. First, does it matter how many lymph nodes were removed? I had 4 removed on my left side (the side with cancer) but none removed on my right side. I had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. However, my right side seems to be my trouble side, mostly with scar tissue, probably due to the port issues. My second question is about the placement of your hands for the breathing at the beginning and end. It seems like you place your hands on your right side and then in the middle but not on the left. Is that correct? Is there a reason for that?
