Just an FYI: The production of the .25 calibre has merely been suspended temporarily. Seecamp is in the process of configuring an acceptable magazine for it with a third party. But, according to Seecamp, it will be back in production again. Thanks for the video! ~A Fellow Lefty

Seecamp says only JHP cartridges should be used and enforces by having a magazine that will not take FMJ ammo, which is very slightly longer than JHP. However, after much research and testing, I found that Fiocchi FMJ ammo is a bit shorter than other brands and will cycle reliably in Seecamp. Much less expensive for target practice.

Also, Winchester Q4255 ammunition, commonly known as "Winchester White Box" will fit. It's a FMJ that has a flattened tip. However, it's heavier weight (71-grain vs a typical HP's 60-grain) may accelerate wear with extensive use.

They're definitely fine pieces of lethal pocket jewelry. I don't carry mine only because I had already been carrying a Kel-Tec P32 in pocket-carry situations. The Seecamp is the "finer" gun, but the KT far more practical. I enjoy owning both.

@The Left Handed Shooter I wanted one, but settled for the even-lighter (and less expensive) Charter Arms Off Duty. Since it's only been recently acquired, I still by far favor the P32 or my Ruger LCP-MAX. Whatever is in the pocket, though, is usually backing up something else that's riding on my belt.

New LW Seecamp owners: READ the instruction manual! There are some very important details about your Seecamp pistol that you NEED to know. Not following these details will lead to problems and even damage to your pistol's inner mechanism.

Seecamp Company (Whalley Precision Company) intends to re-introduce the .25 ACP LW Seecamp pistol in 2023. Seecamp still possesses the old tooling for manufacturing the .25 ACP pistol, last manufactured in 1983. At a December 2022 gun show, a company representative said that Seecamp was first seeking a manufacturer to produce the magazines. This probably explains why the company has no magazines to sell on its website right now. The .25 ACP and its pocket pistols are making a quiet comeback right now, surprisingly. You won't find even used .25 ACP pocket pistols in gun stores. Why the surprise re-newed interest after decades of being dismissed as totally inadequate and near worthless? Two reasons. The first is simple, collector's interest in acquiring old .25 ACP pocket pistols. The second reason is the acknowledgement of the wise adage. The best gun in the world when you need it is the one with you and not in your closet or dresser top drawer or nightstand. As one old-timer put it succinctly, I'd rather rely on my .25 ACP than on harsh language. In other words, there is perceived value in the .25 ACP as a last-ditch, emergency personal protection firearm. This perception extends to the .32 ACP as well. Hollow point .25 ACP and .32 ACP cartridges have been available for some time. This has especially been invaluable for the .25 ACP, enhancing its defensive effectiveness. The entire reason and doctrine behind the tiny, no-sights Seecamp pistols has always been, close-in, last-ditch, emergency personal defense when carrying full-size pistols was not practical nor comfortable.

I bought a Beretta Jetfire 950B for $150 in a gun store in late 2019 or early 2020. It's a 1964-manufacture, made in Italy, and in very clean and good condition. They're running well north of $450-500 now, even for the crappier American-made ones that have the manual safety levers (950BS.) I imagine a .25ACP Seecamp would be a neat little pocket-popper, albeit a pricey one to feed.

The instruction manual advises using a 3/32 inch punch to push in the retaining detent in order to disassemble the pistol. Be advised. I tried a 3/32 inch punch and a 3/32 Allen wrench key. Neither fit inside the tiny hole in the slide. I had to use the next size smaller, a 1/16 inch punch.

To put the safety on you have to push it from the left side. To take it off you do the opposite. Push it from the right side. Hopefully that answers your question.
