I can’t believe how much cheaper LV is in Budapest than in AUS, so I definitely picked up something special :) We loved exploring this beautiful city and this is just the main highlights as I didn’t vlog everyday. 14:50 Bishop Gellért was killed on Gellért Hill. The hill got its name from him. In 1046, Bishop Gellért was buried in that church. Almost 1000 years ago! The church was renovated in the meantime. Awesome video, thank you!

Loved seeing Hungary through your vlogs. When I went, I fell in love with the country. It's so beautiful, the history, the people, the peaceful environment. And yes! The river cruise is a must. Its so beautiful transitioning from evening to night, seeing the buildings light up. So magical.

Hi Mel, just a little pedantic correction. The building of parliament is not Gothic but neo-gothic or Gothic Revival with Renaissance Revival elements (dome and interiors). Works started in 1885 and the complex was completed in 1904. As architect by education I would describe it being in Eclectic Style with neo-renaissance planning and neo-gothic and baroque detailing. Defining differences in original and neo styles is time of built. Gothic Revival starts from late 17th century to 19th century, whilst Gothic style architecture dominated Europe from 12th century, with consequential Renaissance from mid 15th century and Baroque from circa 17th century.

This was excellent enjoyed so much. I’m so happy to see you enjoying each other and exploring the world. My hubby retired very young and we were going to travel the world. He passed away not long after so we never took those trips. This coming Saturday would have been our 46 Wedding Anniversary.
