You have to push in the button on the wing handle to lock down the table. You didn't do that. Ever heard of Runaway Trailers brand? But nice trailer and review video. 👍

Really a luxury fiberglass travel trailer. However, I was dismayed when you opened the small pantry/cabinet, and exposed those wire shelves! And that shelf that you lifted being held by Velcro strips. No! And those pleated shades, instead of mcd shades. C’mon Oliver, for the price you’re asking, you can do better. Thank you.
The Oliver is a double-hulled fiberglass shell design (i think the only of it's kind)... meaning there is an outside shell of fiberglass and another inside shell of fiberglass. Insulation, plumbing, electrical, furnace, tanks, water heater, etc are all enclosed between the two shells. This type of design is not easy to build but it allows the heat to circulate between the shells to prevent freezing when the furnace is running. Yes it is more expensive than other travel trailers (comparable or less than AS) but it also takes about 8 weeks to build one. They also have a lifetime warranty on their fiberglass and five year on their aluminum chassis. Only wood is basically in the kitchen galley drawers, so no worries about wood rot from leaks. It is the best quality travel trailer I have ever seen! Customer service is also first-class!
This is a very good, fair review. I liked the style of Airstreams but I loved the marine quality of the Oliver, so I bought the Oliver. Even the steps are heavier gauge than the frames of some other units. This is a lifetime trailer. Mine will go to my daughter when I can no longer travel. It’s not for everyone, but I’m too old to be repairing stuff that falls apart every time I drive down a dirt road. Oliver is the best I could find and it suits my camping style perfectly.
After seeing this video, I'm glad I chose to buy our Lance 2285. It is 4 seasons, with a large slide/dinette that seats 4-6, with a sofa for 2-3 more. 45 gal. wtr,45 gal. blk, and 90 gal. grey. a full queen walk-around bed, Dry bath with large shower, and nice rear kitchen. Composite construction, aluminum frame, and dexter axles Weighing in at 5391 with options. Seriously, I can't imagine paying 50-70k to be so cramped in an Oliver!
Wow! Oliver really thought of everything. Great looking unit.
YOU need to be the person reviewing every RV. I love Oliver trailers and you caught the best stuff about them without talking too much. Thanks.
I almost bought an Airstream, but when I heard about the Oliver II I thoroughly checked it out and bought a new one from the factory a few months ago. Far exceeds Airstream in quality and the cost was about $20,000 less than a comparable size Airstream. Also four-season, which Airstream is not. From reading a lot of research and reviews on all brands of travel trailers, I really believe the Oliver is the highest quality trailer available anywhere. There aren't many videos of Olivers out there, so yours is a really nice addition!

@@erickg.7439 There is no discount when you buy direct through Oliver, which is the only source for new units. You pay their full list price.
Very well built trailer, this will definitely be a one and done purchase, so well built you will never have to buy another trailer. At 70,000 id definitely consider it as an actual home and rent my house.
Nice presentation Mr. R. Greatly appreciated
Great unit as long as it comes fully stocked, with a tow vehicle and a chauffeur! Lol!
I saw you two on a 2017 replay of the Bigtime RV show. Look how far you've come.
Beautifully built.....if I could afford it, I’d buy it. Looks extremely well-built and SPACIOUS
Not sure why there is a price issue on this. Many airstream trailers are much more with less features. Better structure, better insulation, better features short of the wet bath. It doesn't blind you to look at it in the sun, doesn't dent like a airstream and it is very unique.
Love that little trailer!!! Perfect for solo traveler! Thanks, guys!
I love the attention to detail (e.g. placement of the generator plug, access hatch for propane tanks, etc.), that they have a composting toilet as an option (I hope more RV companies start to do this), and the leveling jacks (so nice). The interior also looks really nice- I’m happy RV manufacturers are moving away from traditional RV decor (e.g. dated, busy patterns, etc.). If I could make some changes, I would have an option for a compressor fridge (ideally pullout fridge drawers) and gravity water fill for people who want to boondock. I really like this trailer, though.
@bradarmstrong7467
2 жыл бұрын
Actually (yes I know your post is three years old but.....) in the 2023 model they are switching to a compressor fridge and they have feature that imho is better than a gravity feed for water (Which they also have) there is a water inlet on the curb (door) side in the back at the bottom, run a hose from a 5 gallon water tank or a 50 gallon water bladder in the back of your truck, turn on your water pump for your water tank and it will pull the water out and fill your fresh water tank, a real blessing for Boondocking!
Great video Joe. Great 4 season camper for a single or a couple. The construction is hands down the best on the market. The size is great for getting into those tight places where other campers won't fix. It also has good ground clearance for those who like boondocking on the back roads. It also wouldn't take a very big vehicle to tow the small camper which in itself would save thousands of dollar in fuel alone. Again, great job on a great camper.

Hi Danny, you are too kind with your words! We thank you :). You seem to have an idea of what every Oliver owner is feeling all the time when traveling in their camper.
I'll catch up with this one 10 years from now when it is affordable. Pretty cool rig. ♡
Thank you, I was just looking at the website trying to figure out how far to drive to check one out! Just saved me a long trip! Great video.
It's just me and puppies so twin bed and couch is perfect
Dang, that’s a really nice smaller trailer that looks very livable for 1-2 people. ❤️
The build of this camper is phenomenal. I want to describe this trailer as Airstream's 4 season cousin since Airstream doesn't have 4 season coaches. The fact that the interior is not covered in a wood grain just make it feel bright and airy and open. I would love to see one in person. My personal options are no propane. Single burner induction plate and flexible version solar panels for wind tunnel effienceny and get rid of the air conditioner.
Oliver makes my favorite travel trailers.
This is probably the best camper review video I have ever seen
Amazing small trailer, but you lost me on the price. That's about double what I was expecting......... I guess I'm being unrealistic.

What?? You don't think you should have a tiny trailer with a wet bath for that price? :-> It's ridiculous. You could get a customized cargo trailer with a genuine R27 insulated roof system and R12 walls with a real shower for about $25k less than this, and still with a small floorplan / relatively light weight.

Reflected Miles - What company are you referring to?? Seriously I’d love an affordable custom trailer!
@ReflectedMiles
5 жыл бұрын
OOO There are several companies around the country that customize cargo trailers, mostly for commercial users like corporations that have to create temporary living or office space in harsh environments like North Dakota or Alaska. Most RVers aren’t going to like them, though, because they’re utilitarian, not principally aesthetic. The RV industry knows what sells. If someone wants to spend a lot of money to look great and still be closer to those commercial standards, the RV edition fishing rigs sold for winter use on Minnesota lakes are better (Ice Castle, etc.). They can “sit down” on a flat surface which also makes it easy to stop bitter winds from blowing underneath.

This thing reminds me of a Scamp. Nothing substantial was mechanically powered. The outside faucets seem like the cheap white faucets everyone else uses. 53 is way to much for a trailer that looks like they took a Scamp trailer and upgraded it.

Yeah, we spent less than that for a Thor 23TB with a diesel Ford chassis including a generator. I can't imagine spending that much on just a trailer!!! Nice, but not that much better!
Always loved these - great tour!
Love all the lights and outlets
Thanks for the cool video. I will be in my combination of Truck camper cap, tents and tarps campsite village, for the rest of my life. It's a happy, simple and versatile space and setup and very affordable. I am thankful for it and the debt freedom that it has. Stay prayerful my friends and enjoy creation!
Thank you for this excellent walk through!
Great review, thanks so much! I’ve been wanting to see a real world review of the Oliver. I would buy one of these over an Airstream any day. The Olivers are very well designed and crafted and will last for decades.
Toilet cassette big plus for this camp and off road tires 👌
Like others here, I was interested until the price came out. It is super nice but that's just more than I want to spend on a small trailer. I have priced 5th wheel trailers that were luxurious and one particular trailer was $64,000 marked down to $48,000 because it was last years model. I might buy this one if it were in the $35,000 to $40,000 range simply because of the step up in quality.
Great video! Laura and I have an ‘05 Casita 17’ Freedom Deluxe molded fiberglass camper that we bought used 3 years ago. I am a huge molded fiberglass camper fan. The Oliver is at the apex of luxury, form and function in the molded fiberglass camper world. We live 2.5 hours from the Oliver plant. We have toured the plant. We have attended two of the three Oliver Rallies. We have enjoyed getting to know the Oliver family that makes the trailers as well as many Oliver owners. Yes, Olivers are expensive, but Olivers are “marine grade” precision camping instruments! ;) Personally, I would easily choose the Oliver Legacy Elite II 23.5 over an Airstream 23’ (I am an Airstream fan, too, but I prefer the Oliver). If you are close to Hohenwald, schedule a tour! Hoping my RV retirement fund does well over the next 5 years!!! :)

Thank You Dean. People need to go to the factory and see them being built. I'm from west Tennessee originally and stopped by while visiting my relatives. It's great to see a company that takes pride in what they do. I also like how they listen to customers and will modify the next model year in response to inputs from owners. Great company.
I love the Airstreams but this is a contender. If you look on any Air stream site everyone says that sooner or later they will leak because of all the panels. So I do not look forward to repairing floors and walls. But I still love all those windows!
Love the thorough and well-paced walk-through. At that price point, I prefer the luxurious vibe of the AirStream. But an extremely informative video nonetheless. Thanks!
Those are made about 45 minutes from my house. Always wondered what they looked like inside. Great video!
Yeah I was a little flipped out by the price too. Looks like a nice RV but I’d for sure be looking for a used one
I love the twin bed or dinette in the back with all the windows
Sweet rig ultra sweet price your tour was very thorough and enjoyable 😊 thank you ☺️
Nice!!! It's not for Joe the Plumber, but a retired couple would really enjoy it. I would expect the maintenance and repairs to be far less than a standard trailer. I'll bet it's quiet inside. I like all of the power ports, and abundant solar , batteries and inverter. The tow vehicle would need to cary a water tank that can replenish water into the storage tank, lawn chairs, table, blue boy, barbecue grill, outdoor rugs, etc. Over all, well thought out.
excellent design, well thought thru out. if they could sell enough to bring the price down, you will see them everywhere. great job Legacy!!
Thanks for the video! Looks like a nice trailer. A little expensive but nice. I had never heard of Oliver before and it looks like they are fairly close by. They look very well constructed with all the little amenities thought of. I’ll keep them on the radar.
Basically a class B without the motor. Nice job great explanation
The Oliver is definitely for the well heeled traveler. I sure like it though.
Nice job...really fun to watch. Thanks
It's very pretty and love the exterior features and solar set up. I wouldn't be able to lift a generator though from the storage spot. I ended up getting a Casita mainly because of price point and frequency of use. I think if I were to full time, this is a great choice. The model you showed looks very sterile and space agey though. Hope they're not all so glossy.

For those who prefer an Airstream, I read that the aluminum doesn't hold up to hail storms and some Airstreams have been totaled by the insurance company after hail damage.
Thanks for communicating the price 👍! I watch "camper" video's often. Most of the time, I have to research the price. Usually I only come up with a ballpark figure.
Love this feed!! I need a tiny home.
I would love to winter camp and the Airstream is way to low to be dragging around in the snow and $70,000 for all the extras on this is worth it. A new base model Airstream will coast at least that.
Very beautiful and functional.

The Oliver and the Bigfoot are the two Travel Trailers that have interested me the most. They are both Fiberglass trailers with better than average insulation that have enough interior headroom for me to stand upright in. While I like the decor of the Oliver more the Bigfoot seems to have better build quality. Or at least that's the impression i get from my research. There isn't much content on either trailer on youtube so thanks for the walkthrough.

Nice to see some quality in a trailer / rv
We looked at Olivers 2 years ago when shopping for Travel Trailer. Very nice, high quality fit, finish and fixtures. Premium product with premium price. Deal breaker was wet bath. The "Ambassador" that showed us his Elite II was great guy that really loved his Oliver. They have a very long "Options List". We ultimately purchased a new 2017 Airstream International Serenity 23D for just under $65K, out the door. The MSRP was $82K so there is room for negotiation when you purchase. Included solar, rear vision camera, and full awning package. Those were the only options offered. Everything else was standard equipment. In our estimation, the Airstream is a far better value. Wet bath at 60K is a big no go. Airstream also has a pretty decent dealer network in the U.S. Just MHO.
If I had the money, I would pick this one over Airstream ANY day......love it!!
Put an outboard motor on the back and you got a boat as well!! Lol joking aside it’s an amazing trailer! ✌🏻🇨🇦
Presenter is polite and very handsome
These campers in my opinion are worth every cent they cost...
I got a tour from a couple in a campground . I thought it was a very well made trailer.
I liked the secret cubbie by the bed 😅
I think the Oliver would be a competitor to the Airstream except for one huge factor, floor space. Two people can't walk past each other easily. Oliver needs to make it 8.5' wide IMO.

One? Try couple. Wet bath. As a previous poster just mention I would hate to take a wet bath and then have to wake up in the middle of night walking on a wet floor sink and a muggy bathroom. But to be fair to the Oliver I just purchased 23 foot Airstream front bedroom model and that's very tight for two people. We can't walk by each other. Maybe in the 27'-33'? Definitely NOT in mine. On the other hand trailer such as the Oliver and my Airstream being so narrow I've noticed the furnace heats up the area very fast. My friend who has a 35 footer complaints about using too much propane to heat his huge trailer and has instead go to one heater in this bedroom. So their are trade offs.

@Robin Sherman I've only had it a month living on the coast here in San Francisco. Through rain, wind and some 39° temps I've had zero problems. On EVERY forum (I drive a Toyota) you'll find that it's a dumping ground for "problems". Bad news travels fast with good news barely getting out. Remember these are rolling, bouncing homes and things will have to be tightened, a checklist kept up and maintenance on a monthly basis. That's trailer life. I purchased this for the Airstream support too that's nation wide pretty much. Oliver? Good luck. He closed shop in 2008-2012 and that gave me pause. One man, one company --gone tomorrow. Airstream on the other hand has history, dealership network, durability and will be around for a long time. That's what made my decision.

@@rxonmymind8362 Oliver made trailers up until 2009 when the economy crashed (along with the RV market). They just made a decision to temporarily shut down their travel trailer division until the economy and RV market came back around, concentrating on their other businesses that were thriving. They still had service support open for the customers that had previously purchased in 2008-2009. With the economy and RV market coming back around, they started making trailers again in 2013 or so. Oliver actually has 4 or 5 companies. In the same factory where they make their trailers, they make several fiberglass bath products (showers and tubs). They are also the world's largest manufacturer of walk-in bath tubs (they make them for Safe Step Walk-In Tubs in the same factory). The also are a leading manufacturer in the setup material for the manufactured housing industry. They aren't going anywhere. As far as a dealer network... of course they sell direct, but from what I understand, they work with RV service centers all across North America when their customers need service or warranty work.
great camper and review.
Wow that's awesome
They did some really nice things they’re yes it is expensive but damn they really went for it with that one. They included solar and four battery system is pretty awesome. I’d like to think I could take a more basic trailer and add those options to get that kind of functionality but I’d never be able to get that clean look.
Ditto on the cost. But then again, quality construction costs more. Similar construction, check out the "Bigfoot" (manufactured out west). The "Runaway Roses" have a used one that is very nice. Check out their tour on their UT channel. Tell them the Freebirds from TN sent you!
Thank you for the review. I have seen just a limited number of you tube reviews on Oliver travel trailers but all are very positive. So this begs the million dollar question: is this your next rv??????
Comprehensive review. Nice job.
This may be the nicest trailer out there at least that I have seen. The price is steep, but then again, even when compared to an Airstream the quality of this is at least comparable if not better; the thought of everything.

KZread videos abound of people modifying their Airstream interiors and finding the same old cost cutting tricks you find on many RV's. Before you buy, really look under the skin of an Airstream. Its not the magical dirigible you Dad always wanted. On the other hand, I saw an Oliver at a state park in Washington this Summer and came away very impressed with virtually everything inside and out.
