My brotha, welcome to Thailand! Been here 7 months now and like you said the further out you go the more you get to know the real Thailand. I'm even further out than you and my rent is $200/mo, I paid the full year as well and that dropped me down to $175. If you really want to learn the language then hop on that education visa. It makes you learn the language(literally or they kick you out lol) and you get to stay longer(1 year) without the hassle of visa extensions and border runs. Enjoy it and stay focused. Let's win.

I appreciate that brother. My initial plan when I left the US was to live in Pattaya, I stayed there for 12 days apartment hunting and I realize the area wasn’t for me. In my time there I went out a lot and met a lot of people and I couldn’t find not 1 girl there that wasn’t working in the street. The place is small and everyone knows everyone’s business. In my opinion Pattaya is a place where you go have fun and party but not live. It’s like living on the Vegas strip. When I move to Bangkok I immediately met a mixture of women that work in the street and women that has 9-5 jobs. Me being from NYC I felt at home, Bangkok feel like a safer NYC.

My expenses, budget, visa, transportation etc. I’m in Dominican Republic right now working on a Condo renovation so I didn’t sign up for the ED visa but I’m not sure if I want to do the Muay Thai classes or the language classes.

Nice place bro. A bit far out, but at least you’re on the BTS. However, you could’ve gotten the same for that price in Asok with a much better gym and would’ve been centrally located within walking distance of Soi 11.

I swear I was looking 🤣🤣. I just been here to months and everyone in my night market knows me. It feel good being over here and not close to all the tourist.

I’m flying out to Dominican Republic on the 21st to work on a real estate project and won’t be back here 2-3 months. I’m in expat groups and like to jump on the train in get lost. I went on dates with black American women and Asian women. They all the same too me.

Thailand check more of my box. The only thing Dominican Republic had over Thailand, in my opinion all the women. The cost of living, safety, infrastructure, food and wifi blow Dominican Republic out the water.
