Hey TreesOnTheBeach, yes most of the deals are done with cash/transfers, but there are other options available that may help. We of course have developers that are offering short term financing through construction and at 0%, and sometimes we can find/negotiate with sellers to offer some short term financing. We have also had several clients who have done a personal loan through their bank back home using other collateral, and then used those funds to purchase their property here in Ecuador. You won't get a 3% mtg rate, but maybe around 4-5% which is of course better than Ecuador banks;) Hope that helps!

@@domingogarcia3594 Property taxes are another big reason people are securing property, homes and condos here. Yearly property taxes are usually around $100-$300 per YEAR! :))

Good morning! You are automatically given a free 90 day tourist visa, and then you may get an extension of another 90 days. If you need longer in the country then you may do several different visas depending on what is best for you. Some of the visas are residency, investors, pensioners, digital nomad and others. The only thing this does NOT have is an elevator. Ex-pats who can afford this are OLD and have bad knees / hips. Otherwise it is lovely! The downstairs bedroom would be a fine primary bedroom.

Good Afternoon Jo Ann, yes the downstairs would be perfect for a primary and that is how the home was designed. Single story homes are actually harder to find in our area but many of the homes are designed with lower level bedrooms that may double as a primary. Hope that helps!

I live in Glendale California and one bedrooms start at $2000 for an average 600 square foot apt. This is why your videos are making think of early retirement. Thank again Ryan
