@Lucio Martínez Madonna was a performer to be reckoned with she could never stand and be a glimmer of a vocalist next to Mariah. In my opinion whitney could never stack up to Mariah either. Whitney was AMAZING and I think that just goes more towards the original comment......Mariah is unlike anyone we will ever see again and I don't think people took that fact into account and most still don't acknowledge the fact that NOBODY will ever be like Mariah in the 90s. Period.

I actually think it's because she makes it looks so effortless and easy. When she's singing up and down the scale while running across the stage smiling and laughing it makes it seem like it's nothing. But when anybody else sings the song they look like they are at the end of a marathon... exhausted and just happy they finished. lol

Fun fact: Before Luther was known, he was a back-up singer for David Bowie. Bowie said Luther taught him to sing rnb and soul.

Luther is arguably the best male R&B vocalist of all time. He and Whitney were besties!!

I would definitely recommend Jack to watch that live performance of A House is not a Home that Luther sang in a tribute to DIonne Warwick who sung it first and he made it a cover on it and made it his own. He is one of the few artists who sound as or even better singing live than on record.

I saw him live twice....he's next level. Personality plus too...his shows would be exhausting sometimes lasting 3 or more hours.
