I like that too. You can still see what she uses, and it's in the description box if it's important to you. It gets me how people are still like "OMGGGG WHAT LIPSTICK IS THAT?!" Do people even bother reading the description box?! Haha.

For any one who thinks she's dismiss her own culture: first, the traditional of celebrate Lunar new year begins in China. Thats why she dressed in Chinese style. Second, just because she's Vietnamese doesn't mean she can't celebrate festivals in foreign styles. People in Asia also celebrate Christmas and Easter and many other festival. They are just festivals and for god sake this is just a makeup tutorial. Stop make a big deal out of it. She made this video to teach us how to do makeups and we should focus on that.

Vietnam is strongly influenced by Chinese culture as the Chinese have been integrating there for centuries. Vietnam also celebrate Chinese or Lunar New year. ✌🏻

GOSH can people stop with the hate? So WHAT if she greeted in Chinese? So what if her cheekbones look sharper? Mahnnn, when she doesn't make makeup videos, people complain, when she finally does makeup videos, still people find something to complain. She has a fking life too. She has made so many videos, they were ALL so different and so creative. For how long can she go on spoonfeeding you all bitches with the same basic makeup tricks? She did a Chinese themed video and some people started questioning and bashing her with "she's trying to be Chinese!" Or "she forgot her own culture"! Hmmmm seriously?? She did tons of Japanese anime themed videos and nobody said a word about her "trying to be Japanese or a cartoonish character?" People's stupidity and racism level really surprises me. It's just a Chinese themed video because lunar new year is most commonly known as Chinese New Year. Koreans, Vietnamese, Singaporeans, Malaysians, and lots of other Asian countries celebrate lunar new year, we get it, but people should really stop hating on her for picking a most commonly known nAme.if you don't like it, don't watch it, piss off quietly and find a non Chinese themed video to watch. Simple as that.

I honestly don't see why it's shameful for her to say happy new year in Chinese and dress in a Chinese outfit. I mean, just because she's Vietnamese doesn't mean she can't appreciate other cultures. And she's not abandoning her Vietnamese heritage, she's just trying out the Chinese New Year custom because it's cool. She's a human, she has the right to try something different, if you're really a person from her own country you should be supporting her, not shaming her for trying something out.

Lunar new year was originated from China. Most of the Asian countries influenced by China. Therefore, Michelle uses Mandarin greeting and Chinese headline is acceptable :-) This is her own channel and she can do everything she wants.

Honestly lunar new year is more commonly known as chinese new year abroad.. so even if she did it purposely it was just for her fan to understand better ... However i think it has to do wth the chinese make up style, those pink shadowed eye, sharp liner n red lipstick... You don't need to use the products she's using, though? You can use your lipstick, your mascara, your eyeshadow, not the exact ones she's using. I thought that was obvious. I really don't get the point of this criticism.

I love that you truly teach how to apply makeup and take care of your skin at the same time. I need help with my eye shadow game and get overwhelmed by the aggressive amount of product some beauty vloggers pack onto their eyes and all over their skin. It's like "How does their skin breathe?!" and "How aren't their eyes burning with a cm-thick layer of shadow?" You still put out the best tutorials and I hope you never stop :)

LN Watercolor just because she's not wearing a "i love vietnam" shirt it doesnt mean she doesnt like her home country. Its good to try something different sometime, and everything you do doesnt need to stick to your own root. This is how the world of makeup works, no rules.

I think she said it because since primer minimizes pores, it may cause your skin to have more problems. But I've never used primer before so I am just guessing.

Generally, teenagers shouldn't cake up their faces with too much layers to make up. It's harmful to the skin and causes more breakout. So I'm guessing what she meant here is the less the makeup you apply on your face as a teenager, the better. Because your skin is already problematic, don't make it worse.

Who said I cake on makeup? Wearing a primer and a tinted moisturizer/bb cream isn't necessarily "caking on", especially since I take care of my skin. Regardless, it's still a nightmare and I'd rather not go out in public with it looking as it does :/

Nobody's saying you're caking on makeup. I'm commenting on a general point of view. Primer is not necessarily needed when you already have BB cream on for teenagers' whose skin are more tender and fragile than adult's. Like I said, regardless, primer is still a layer of makeup and the more layers of makeup you wear, the more harmful it is to your skin.

Eve Fan if you google lime crime scandal you can find a lot of information on the brand. There are a lot of scandals but the most recent was people who bought products from them had their credit card information stolen. Customers tried to tell her on social media and she deleted the comments for months before it was finally dealt with. And then her way of dealing with it wasn't very professional. There are many other reasons most make up artists have boycott the brand as well.
