@ChArLiE9321 The 14mm and 20 mm pancake lenses are not bulky and not heavy. Also you could use other 4/3 pancake lenses such as the Olympus 17mm 2.8 and still retain the autofocus facility. These are all very versatile, wide angle lenses that make the GF1/GF2/GF3 very pocketable.

@Esrhan The GF2 has improved features (except the lack of a socket for a remote actuator, now removed), including better engine, stereo sound and better HD video all in a smaller/lighter frame. The touch screen is an uptodate feature; things change, as they do. The GF3 has lost other features such as stereo sound, actuator socket and hot shoe so, maybe, is a move towards backwards feature-wise, but the frame is tiny and pocket ability is a useful feature for some people.

Couldn't agree more with Peter Thompson's comment. Buy the camera, use the camera and then pass judgement. Have three lenses, 20mm F1.7, 14mmF2.5 and 14-42mm kit lens. Pity lens mount of zoom is not metal, as on the other two. I have found that all three lenses have more than adequate sharpness, especially so the 12mm. I am used to an eye level viewfinder and the EVF will probably be my next purchase, as i grew up in the days of olympus Pen film cameras, Nikkormat ftn, Pentax MX and ME Super

@ChArLiE9321 It's much lighter and much, much smaller than most DSLR's. This can fit into a small small bag that would be much more portable than the size of the bags you use for DSLR's with multiple lenses... for me I want this because I build guitars. If I had a camera like this... I could meet and great bands, take high quality professional photo's and then walk right into the concert and take professional video and it be only a shy larger than a regular compact with smaller image sensors.

I think the intent of this model is an answer to the Oly PL1. Therefore its a awesome delivery of a camera. I think it will sell like hot cakes. People who are considering a big (read DSLR) may just go for this instead of something like the LX5 and all its competitors. Go Panasonic, competition is good.

@yunhen3350 Exactly.. And they should've improved the LVF too.. GF2 is smaller, lighter and better software but I think it's NOT for current GF1 owners.. Still thinking about Finepix X100 and Sigma DP2S as a backup camera though..

cute but its only pocketable with a non-zoom pancake and still too expensive. I admit that decreasing the size its a step forward!

Don't see that point in compacts, you still have to carry the bulky lenses around, making it not compact? Far too overpirced as well, you can buy a 550d for the same price if you look in the right places.

I use this with an M Zuiko 14-42 zoom lens and I use the ring on the lens. It isn't brain science, to be fair. Perhaps you should give up photography and take up something a little less challenging, like darts.
