I’ve never heard versions of Metroid songs that I felt were truly what the originals were intended to sound like, until now. You are incredible. You totally get what Metroid should sound like, vibes and all.

It’s nearly 3 am, so apologies if this comment isn’t very coherent, but I really feel the need to compliment you!!! I came across your NES re-synthing only a little while ago (at, uh 2 am), but I’m a HUGE fan. I love synth music, and you’ve given all of these tracks a lot of atmosphere and /feeling/ that the original machines couldn’t manage to pull off. It’s a crying shame about the copyright, I’d be /glad/ to give you money for this experience. I’ll be looking forward to any more of these remasters you end up doing, no matter how long they take :)

*_YES YES YES._* My favorite track from my favorite game, in analog synths. Gives it a really nice, deep feeling. My only criticism would be I think the bit at 1:21 is a bit _too_ echoey, but that's my opinion. Otherwise it's really nice.

I like how distant the lead sounds there tbh, but it does make it feel like it's supposed to come back for a second time with more punch and volume. Part of the limitations of working with the original arrangement, it makes sense.

My god Luminist, what a fantastic remix of one of my favorite songs of Metroid! Keep up the excellent work.

Dude, I've listened to the whole Super Metroid on repeat for 50+ times. Please continue the series!

Totally agree! Just finished the game last night and was wishing for those exact resynths.

I was ready to go into a cantankerous old man rage at ruining a good song but god damn you knocked it outta the park.

The best rendition of it I've heard.

Unbelievable. Such a rich and compelling atmosphere the OST added to the game and I think this track adds to it without taking ANY steps backwards which can't be said for other covers. Well done!

I listen to these over and over. I love them, the specific analog, synth instrumentation is mesmerising. I’d love to see this project complete someday.

this gives off the same foreboding vibe as the original, other remixes don’t do it justice.

The one that sounds kinda like something from traditional Japanese music, but like underwater. I always imagined it as that, like towering traditional Japanese buildings but with technology integrated within it, and it’s submerged in water completely but the lights are still on and this music echoes through the area.

This is fucking amazing, I’ve always loved Metroid games for many reasons but it’s unique choice to try and make the player feel extremely alone in an alien world is unlike anything I’ve ever played. Back when I played these games as a kid I absolutely loved em playin them for about an hour every other night before bed, now as I’m older for unrelated reasons I’ve grown a fear of being alone yet I still BADLY want to come back and play these games. You fit Metroids atmosphere so well dude, You gotta try doing this with the other Metroids. You got a talent

This is such a remarkably competent complement to what is a remarkably good soundtrack. As Battlefox64 has suggested, this is something that's good enough that I've actually brought it up in conversations and physically made people go to the computer and check it out.

Its not the first time that something that sounds as good as this gets praise from Nintendo and doesnt get approval from them tp use their copyrights (see formation of id Software as a reference).

The ONLY thing it is missing is that synthisized vocal sample. That really made the original feel so raw and dangerous That being said, all of these remixes are incredibly, this analog 80s sound is perfect for the aesthetic of these games. 1:22 ugh, this part is just the best.

Man, Nintendo should totally let you do more of these and license them / make them official and sell them with their marketing behind it.

This is a superior cover to the Micheal Lemanti version, the only thing it's missing is the choral voices samples to make it perfect, but I get that it would mean sampling the original which would shut the whole cover down. Still fucking dope as shit.

I think I now know why the licensing was rejected, a lot of Super Metroid's OST was resused / remixed in their Metroid 2 remake on the 3DS.

Now don't get me wrong, this music is amazing and so is the other content from this channel, but there is something about this music that I disagree with. throughout it, there'll be like this horror violin noise that I think is really unneeded because one, it adds too much noise, and two, it gives a feeling of inhospitality which I don't think fits well with red Brinstar.

I see what you're saying and no worries if you disagree, but personally I think Red Brinstar should feel inhospitable - which is why I choose specific sounds to evoke a feeling of quiet, mysterious danger. Samus is traversing alone on an alien world after all :)
