Luke Splits an AT-ST | Skywalker vs. Chicken Walker

#StarWars #LukeSkywalker #ATST
This week, I built something I’ve been thinking of doing for a while. I played the game The Force Unleashed a ton when it came out 10+ years ago, and I always loved the boss battles. There were two or three different finishing moves at the end of the AT-ST mini boss fights, and my favorite was when Starkiller jumped up and sliced the walker in half. This scene was inspired by that sequence from the game, but I adapted it to feature Luke as the Jedi doing the slicing. ‘Cause let’s be real, Luke is the best.
I designed Luke in Hero Forge and built his lightsaber in Shapr3D.

"Cutting a walker in half is not very realistic" The ability to destroy a planet is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
@Jedistarship

More like the Blade isn't even long enough to do it, being the more realistic aspect of this. At least he admits possible multiple passes.

Reference the Force Unleashed 2 trailer where starkiller is jumping and slashing the big spider walker thing. He jumps forward slices, then turns his body to slice the other side straight down. In this case I'd think Luke did it in a reverse fashion.
@Jedistarship

@@Projekt.96 Nice try! The Terror Walker in Force Unleashed II, its head is nowhere near the size of a AT-ST. How can you tell? watch the Trailer again and see Starkiller literally stand on its head. If he laid down he would actually be taller than the entire Head length of the Droid (Less than 6 Feet). Cutting it in half actually works in that instance which is probably why the designers made it that way. The AT-ST Head length is about 9 Feet. Cutting with a 3 Foot Lightsaber hmmm let's do the math..... I want to also add the Force unleashed Games had Starkiller way OP. I never considered his abilities to be Canon, its just ridiculous.

Questioning the realistic-ness of Luke going through an AT-ST in one slice would be a nice debate for Star Wars fans. But I think if you just say, "because he's Luke Skywalker", many fans would accept that. ;-)

Your little explanation of how Luke managed to cut the AT-ST realistically honestly made me love this video all the more!! Brilliant, imaginative idea as always - you're a genius.
Fantastic idea and execution. I just missed the two at-st pilots, I would have liked one with an expression of terror and the other seeing Luke from the inside.

"I should have planned that better before I started cutting..." Thank god incredible artists such as yourself let us in on the human side of things. I'm sitting there thinking that you know exactly what you're doing every step of the way and that the turret flying away was part of your master plan.

The painting inside of the AT-ST really looks like it's been light sabered, the whole thing looks amazing.

The drivers of that AT-ST are going to be in Imperial therapy for the next ten trilogies. ;P
Galen Marek (Starkiller) : Wait, that's my move!
This is so cool! The terrain is so simple but looks so good. It was really relaxing to watch. Love that you completely detailed Luke's lightsaber!
Maaan, I'm sooo happy you did a force unleashed inspired diorama! It was one of my absolute FAVORITE star wars games growing up, I still play it from time to time, I think it still holds up. You captured the vibe so well 🤌🤌✨
Fantastic, as always. I'm blown away by not just the skill you show on the model itself, but by your ingenuity creating additional tools such as the circle cutting jig. You have mastered many disciplines, bravo.
"I should have planned that out better" 😂😂 Such a cool concept, and I love how you explain the way Luke could have done this. So fun to watch! Thanks!

This is art, appreciate it!!!!
Yea Luke’s been playing force unleashed lmao. Very nice man
Thank you for your amazing work as always. Such an inspiration even though I don't have the skills or time to do it. Huge fan of the channel!!!
"To create the texture I'm looking for." Just realized this is a classic pun. This relates to, "This is not the droid you're looking for" as you can assume. Great job man! Videos are amazing.

Amazing work! You should do one of Captain Fordo from the Clone Wars shooting his pistol and rifle. I think that would look awesome. Love watching every week!
Now that is THE best diorama I have ever seen. So much action, so much of a story told there. I love it!
Ingenuity at a very high level! Great idea - awesome execution 👍🏻
If that orange paint is UV reactive, you could put a UV LED in each half of the walker and it would glow?
Man you work at such at high standard every single time!
Well, that's one way to show off the detail inside this kit. Great imagination + great build skills = art.
Yeeessss! So cool. That light filament is so perfect and just ties it all together so nicely. Great craftsmanship Dude.
RULES OF NATURE
Perhaps to make the cuts glow you could have used fluorescent paint, then used some clever light placement to put some black light LEDs to make it glow and shine?
AMAZING! Thanks for sharing this. 👍
Great work! Dynamically your best work so far. I did the same model last week with an Endor base. 👍🏻

He'd need a extra long lightsaber to actually do it tho, unless he has the time it takes to cut a pumpkin with a regular steak knife

@@moirahorton5167 With most quick cuts yeah they tend to be clean, but with something large like this where the lightsaber would be dragged through youd get rough damage on the edges. You can see this in that scene in TPM when qui-gon cuts through the door in the beginning, the metal melts around the lightsaber.
@da_ghoul9432

Should have left some or the roughness from the bandsaw for melting metal.
Great skills for a great video. You really show how you get it done with precision. Nicely done you're the reason I'm starting doing diorama
Absolutely love the concept and execution!
Come on, I say Luke did it in one shot, he is THAT good. Maybe you should use Corran Horn (Expanded Universe version), he had a light saber with two crystals that could telescope out to the size of a claymore at least. Also, awesome work.

Fantastic :) hero forge is definitely a cool sight. I saw jazza make a figure and raised the height to the "huge" side since the hands and head stays the same so you'd get more realistic proportions and then downsized the 3d model after he bought it to be the scale he needed. Definitely something I'll have to try. 🤔 your dioramas are always so inspiring, keep it up:)
