My husband loved me to sing this to him. He had cancer, and was in his last months...it snowed the last time I sung this song for him. The sky was clear and cold. I felt God's power and I went outside, singing like I've never done before...that the last time I sung this song, and when he died, he took my voice with him to heaven. Hearing it sung now with so much heart made tears come to my eyes. Beautiful.

I understand. I'm sorry for your loss. It's such a perfect song. My father loved Elvis. He was 85 and he didn't tell me he had cancer I was leaning over him and told him it's okay because I will be okay. Of course, I m crying my eyes out and my tears are hitting his face. I was inches from him as he took his last breath and felt his soul leave his body because he touched my bangs. Then I saw this beautiful yellow white light and felt this overwhelming peace come over me. I realized the Holy Spirit was there with me.

"He's so tall and handsome as hell" and he's kind and he sings, my little heart just can't take it.

Wow, not only is he possibly the best singing actor I've ever heard, but the soul that he conveys and the emotion are simply effortless. I will immediately struck by his very warm, dark, deep voice. Ardderchog Luke. I spent the height of covid in Liverpool, went without seeing family for 3 months to work on the frontline and lived in student accommodation, this was often played on a loud speaker on the opposite accommodation site, possibly the scariest 3 months of my life but I'll never forget the welcome we received, was made to feel like a local and at home ❤️

Thank you for recording this. When my dad was killed in 1971 I chose this to be sung at his funeral. I was only 18 and was given the responsibility to select the music for his service. Some frowned on it but I told them to listen to the lyrics because it truly is a hymn. Our pastor approved it. When I die I want it sung at my funeral as they wheel my casket out of the chapel. It is such an uplifting song even if it brings on ugly tears.

Wow! This is a special man with a very beautiful voice and a calming presence.

Luke says, "We can all be one race looking out for each other ". We have to hold onto our HUMANITY. Luke's Music brings me back to my center and keeps me grounded.
