73 points on 75% shooting, only 16 free throw attempts, and it was a wire to wire game. I don't think people realize how special this was because a lot of players are dropping 60/70 nowdays.

This has been the best start for an NBA season that I can remember in a long time. Not even at the AS Break and there's been so many great games and moments.

If the Hawks didn't double team and full court press Luka for the last 9 minutes of the game he might have caught Kobe's 81. He was only 8 points short.
According to basketball reference this game topped Kobes 81pt (previously 2nd highest gamescore at 63.5), as Luka's performance scored a 64 gamescore only under MJ 64.6 gamescore.

Lack of defense, excessive 3pt shots, and too much space in the paint is slowly ruining the NBA….much easier to score points now. Too many blowouts and players scoring 50+ points. The NBA right now is like when you discover cheat codes for your favourite game and it becomes less fun because it’s easier to play.

It's the leagues fault. All the rules have been modified to favor the offense. It's impossible to play good defense without being called for a foul.

This is a bad take because if it was easy, everyone would do it.. but even in this time of swiss cheese defense, (the last 15 years or so), only 5 players have done it.. Scoring 70 is just plain hard..

those NBA teams are so unbalanced. Everything on offense. Nothing on defense. Refs don’t help either. They prevent everybody to play some type of defense by punishing every attempt to defend the basket. It’s impossible now to name 10 great defenders in this league and even 3 who isn’t a 4 or a 5.

luka was good for hes position ang percentage nad efficient,,, but NBA today's NBA ain't contact sport anymore every one is scared to defend because of those ticky tack fouls
The nba has outlawed defense so what does scoring 73pts mean imo not much.
