This is a really interesting topic for sports and in business/life. Would you rather be a huge contributor to a very successful team and win? Or would you rather be the star of your own show but never come close to the collective success as a contributor? I guess it depends on: do you value winning as a team (championships) more? Or do you value individual success (huge contracts, MVP) more?

  • @keenannorris3309

It is an interesting philosophical question. The only problem w/ applying it to Russ vs. Dray is that half the stuff Colin says about Russ isn't true. When Russ was out of the playoffs due to injury in OKC, KD tanked out of the playoffs in the 2nd round. Russ definitely "elevated" OKC when they went to the NBA Finals. KD never won anything w/out him in OKC. Dray was irrelevant for 2 years b/c Klay and Steph were out (Klay for both years, Steph for one) and he is strictly a complementary player. An all-time great complement, but he's virtually useless unless paired w/ great players.

Rodman made 10 All-Defense teams, with 2 DPOY awards and led the league in rebounding 7 times. I think he’s best-remembered for his outlandish behavior and his ability to go get the ball, but the only reason I’d say he’s undervalued is because basketball has a history of focusing more on offense than defense.

If gsw was a band, draymond is the amplifier. He’s literally plugged into setting the offense and defense of the team and it’s a winning culture.

Draymond is the great compliment player on a good team, and will put that team over the hurdle to championships. He won't be able to life an average team. Westbrook will lift an average team but will never be able to get them over the hurdle.

Nick is good on his show, on this show, with Dan Patrick, was good with Cris Carter, and with his son on his own pod. Also Colin is compromised about Dray since he’s on the Pod network.

I admit as a Suns fan I didn't like that he got 45. But I'll be honest, it's not that the others didn't show up, it's that defense of the suns took them out. I don't think the Suns are okay with Luka getting 45 but o do think this game went with their plan. They let Luka cook by design. They closed off his passing lanes and took away his lanes to the rim. They let him live in mid range and 3 point range. It's not so much that the others didn't show its that they were removed. I would expect that to be how these games progress unless Dallas figures out how to put the others back into it. But once you get the others involved, Luka won't have a 45 game night. The key is Mavs defense can't slow down phoenix. So we just so the best game we will see from Mavericks offensively, which won't be the norm, but what we saw from Phoenix's offense will be the norm

Suns is a deep team. If we had a big that stop ayton still we would not beats suns. Cp3 and db waiting if something goes wrong. Only bucks can win against them. They will beat warriors too.

@@koraycill I'm not sure the Bucks without Middleton can beat the suns. That's just the truth. Suns aren't the Bulls or even the Celtics. They can play Giannis much like they are Luka. The reason is backfired last year was Middleton, he made them pay. He won't be a factor at least at this point.

@@tommartyn524 it's good to have dreams, we all have them. I dreamed I was the adopted son of Elon Musk and had a never ending supply of cars and cash. But then I wake up and I'm just me. Warriors will make it competitive but suns can match them in many areas while dominating them in size. GSW really needed that size this year from Wiseman.
