@@chaisesamargis3149 that's not accurate at all, any other team you'd be right but people NEED to look at how Mahomes contract is structured, he got like 140m guaranteed and the the big cap hits are in the years to come and they keep restructuring his contract every year to make cap room, they did it again last week. The 500m number isn't real, and over the course of 10 years, it's a super team friendly deal. They traded hill because he wants 30m a year and no WR is worth that much, not even close. He's almost 30 and small fast guys never last long after 30, moving on now and getting five picks out of it is a huge win for the future.

WR are much easier to replace than a top TE. They didn't lose Mahomes, everyone is overreacting. Alot of the comment section doesn't like Nick wright or kc because they have won alot recently so they are gonna bury the kc today and declare victory. In March....... Hill was valuable but at 30 mill, to expensive. They can replace his production somewhat in free agency and the draft, they found Creed Humphreys last draft who made a massive impact. Relax it's March, nfl don't start playing till September. Alot can happen between now and then.

Plenty of top WRs go to a different team and bc they don't have the best QB throwing to them their stats take a massive hit. Watch tyreek put up a good 800yds next year. That's not $30mil/yr hof WR production. He better have 1200yds 12+ TD for that kind of money.

"Chiefs Dynasty" 🤣 IMO there have been 4 dynasties since the 70s; Pittsburgh in the 70s, Niners in the 80s, Cowboys in the 90s and the Patriots which lasted for 2 decades. Don't get me wrong, the Chiefs are dominant. But can we not agree that a team needs to WIN at least 2 Superbowls (IMO 3) before throwing the term dynasty around? If you only have 1 Superbowl (ahem, Chiefs), you're no different than the Nick Foles Eagles, Joe Flacco Ravens, Drew Brees Saints, or any team that has only won one. One is not a dynasty. People talked about the Seahawks having a dynasty prematurely. What happened? They won one and lost won--no Superbowl appearances since. That's where the Chiefs are at now. Now they COULD become a dynasty, but that remains to be seen. And they just lost Hill and Honey Badger. Kelce is 32. And the AFC just got really stout. Sorry Chiefs fans, the odds of it aren't good.

Much needed cap space, premium draft picks, and potentially reloading the WR core with multiple weapons for Mahomes, while having the money to add much needed pieces to the defense. Again, this isn't a moment to celebrate, but the vibe in KC is optimistic. Tyreek is 28. Paying him $30m a year would be stupid.

This is what I’ve been saying too. Mahommes walked into the league with the best pass catching duo in the league by a mile. His contract was going to cost him dearly within a few years and this is going to be the start of Mahommes becoming a very good but down to earth player. No more 480 yard 6 touchdown games. Without hill there won’t be anymore explosive quarters. I don’t expect Mahommes to become average, he’s still great. But all qbs at some point have to do it with less than stellar talent and most don’t live up to it

Chiefs & Andy Reid have worked with less in the past like the 2015 season with Alex smith didn’t really no WR fr had some average Rb’s they started 2-5 finish 11-5 made the playoffs as wildcard lost in the division round basically I’m saying I wouldn’t count them alway out plus still got the draft Still can make some trades

Fair perspective but the landscape of the NFL has drastically changed over the last 5-6 years. The AFC West has become the most brutal yet wide open division to play in. Would not surpise me at all if all 4 teams made it with the 4th place being 10-7.

Look Mahomes is great but his greatness has been propped up by Kelce, Hill, and Andy Reid. Without either of those pieces he doesn’t have the success he had. We’ll now get to a better glimpse into who Mahomes really is without Hill being 10 yards open from any defender or taking a 5 yard pass 40 yards down field. The good news for them is this is the fastest average WR class maybe ever.

If his weapons are the end all be all then they would have propped Alex Smith all the way up to at least something past the divisional round. Pat is the one who makes the whole thing go. No him not even a sniff of a championship

@@zachmcnerney409 I mean Mahomes is way better than Alex Smith. That’s not my point. He has had a top 3 wide receiver, top 3 wide receiver core, Top 2 tight end, and top 3 offensive coach. Almost no QB has ever been in that position. People make him out to be the most amazingly gifted quarterback with talents that we’ve never seen before. My point is that a lot of that is the fact that his amazing talent landed in an unbelievably supportive spot that was perfect for him.

@@dillMANbaby while I agree that he landed in a great situation, I 100% disagree that's what has made his greatness. Before he got here Tyreek was just as explosive but wasn't the sure handed (most of the time), great route running WR. And Kelce had a MAJOR attitude problem and on the field antic problems albeit his numbers were still great. Pat changed those guys. Ppl make him out to be a generational talent bcuz he is one lol. Without his improvisational skills, vision, arm, and athleticism, half of the amazing plays from his all world weapons wouldn't have even happened.
