    Is there a difference in speed when you run with spikes? What will be difference in the 300 meter with a normal running shoes (pegasus for example) and a shoe with spikes?

    Big difference. The spikes are lighter and give better grip and push. Spikes are for sprinting, regular running shoes are for long distance speeds.

    Anyone else noticing that he only breaths through the nose when running?

  • @Surreal_Bread

    @Surreal_Bread

    Жыл бұрын

    18:10 that's not true, you can hear him breathing through mouth, but he does breathe through nose some times, that's because the session he's doing is probably not affecting his cardio and it's just lactate training so his breathing is less important. Also he is just rellay relaxed so he isn't at his limit hense why he doesn't breath as deeply

    @@23maurom note that the above commentator does not know the difference between speed work and VO2 max sessions. All sprint events are illegal for records above 5000' because of the advantage of thinner air.

    @@terraflow__bryanburdo4547 I was gonna write the same but hoped you ment it the way you are now explaining. but your first comment was asking for getting misunderstood. btw did twohundrets recently at altitude in the Austrian Alpes. the track was @ only 2600 ft and I already felt it (especially in the recovery time).

  • @terraflow__bryanburdo4547

    @terraflow__bryanburdo4547

    @@fidru yeah...the actual reps are easier but the recovery is longer, hence Smith gave him 4/10 recovery instead of 3/8 which is typical for a speed session. Now eliminate the set rest and make all recovery 1.5-2 min and you have a VO2max session, which you have to run a lot slower at 7000 compared to sea level.
