I like his compositions. Too many pianists think that they must play fast, complicated pieces in order to considered a great pianist. Not true. That just means you can play fast complicated pieces. Hehe. To me it's how well can you play the music. Loud and soft. Fast and slow, graceful and edgy. This guy plays unbelievably well.

But this piece is not actually easy to play because it’s like 11 minutes long and I’m a total fail at turning pages. So if I played this, I would’ve needed to memorise the whole piece. 😂

What you want to talk about there , is musicianship , musical creativity in interpretation . Look , often , there are 2 types of musicians : Ones who play purely by passion. Ones that plays purely by pride or the need of attention , recogniction or to show off. Now, don't take it wrong , not all pieces that are "fast/complicated" are used for show off. I would consider , a few that i know : Chopin Op.25 No.11 "Winter Wind" ; Rachmaninoff Concerto no.2 . Now depends , the musician , what he choose to be part of , the ones who play purely by passion or the other category.. Beyond the elemental things : Volume ( Loud or soft) , giving different musical colors , timbre . There is a "universe" where you , almost forget about those , and you connect entirely with the piece , Entirely Living it . To achieve this ultimate step as i can say, it requires hundrerds , even thoousands of hours of practice . It requires years and years of passion , dedication ,perseverence . () Some people say that , you only need talent and so on. Not only talent , as many great performers say , talent is just around 20% . The entire "recipe " is what i said there () . I am talking from different ideologies , and minds that i aknowledge along the time . I am just dreamign of what i am talking there and , i am not sure if i will be able to still reach my true dream . I can't find happiness in small things anymore as i did once.

@@antonioluciovivaldi9132 Hi... I hope you reach that final step and find your very own happiness there... I just like the way you have interpreted the whole thing. I am not in an equivalent discipline but it has given me some insights that I find valuable.

Well, perhaps you don't have to "lose" it to become a better person. Nothing truly goes away, they just transform into something else. Even dead leaves could take part in the growth of plenty other trees. Maybe a part of growing is to make use of what's old and dying to give birth to something else entirely. But you know, just my thoughts 😉

Music like this has no cultural or language barriers. It doesn't know colour or size. It speaks to people from all walks of life. That's a special thing to give to the world, and I truly do hope that this man, Ludovico, knows what he has gifted us with. Oltremare is so much more than beautiful; so much more than a masterpiece. Words fail me to describe such an amazing work of art. But for me, this song is a savior. It's brought joy to my life when I felt anything but joyful; it's taken away tears and pain in the middle of a sleepless night; it's calmed me down when I thought I couldn't be calmed. Oltremare is so incredibly special to me and will always have a place in my heart. Thank you, Ludovico Einaudi, for giving this to me and anyone else that's ever needed it. I am eternally grateful, and eternally indebted to you.

I only hope that in my last minutes of life I would listen to this song because if I weren't going to the heaven, I would say that I was in there already. Ludovico's music is just especial and something that you really can feel. I love it!

I love Ludovico Einaudi's music so much that I am trying to play at least one selection to start. The only thing is that my keyboard is not expansive. I must choose carefully to a piece that is a short range. If I learn only a pattern or two, I feel I will be on my way. Mininalist music by Einaudi is divine. Thank you.

Questa musica permette di riflettere sui pensieri più nascosti dentro i nostro cuore, quei pensieri di cui neghiamo l'esistenza. Ci permette di capire il perché li rinneghiamo e ci dà speranza per un futuro migliore.

Ludovico Einaudi has a way of bringing out emotions through his music and I dont know lot about music, but i noticed how the beginning sounds like a piece from Frederic chopin- prelude in E-Minor (op.28 no.4), either way both pieces are amazing.

My grandpa is currently dying and I can’t do anything to stop it. I just have to watch. I love him so much. I don’t want to lose him. With him, so many memories will fade away into nothingness. I don’t want to let go of him, but I have to. He is such a great man. But he is going to be away forever. Soon. Very soon. And I can just stand there and watch.

Mrs Blue.. I don't know you but where you are is where I am also. My mom doesn't have long on this earth either... However, your prospective is wrong. Those memories will live on within you and those he has touched in a positive way. He may be moving on and you may not remember every little detail but you will remember the love you had for each other, the special times you've shared, the lessons taught on what an amazing human should and should not do... it's those memories and that legacy that will live on within and through you... I know its hard watching a loved one deteriorate and the amount of anger and despair that comes with it.. trust me I know... but stay strong and do your best to be there for others family members and friends in this trying time. Continue that legacy of love and support that was shown through his life. It's hard but isn't it worth it?

Latario Moxey you‘re right it is worth it. It‘s just hard to accept that he will be gone. He was such a fighter and survived WW2 and therefore had a very very hard youth. There are so many stories that he told us but also so many that will be forgotten when he dies (that‘s what I meant with memories fading away into nothingness). But who am I to complain when your mom is also not okay, I wish you the best❤️ you got this
