Hey! Just a quick question about a Ludlum. I have a broken Ludlum Model 26-1 frisker. When I insert batteries, I hear the alarm go off and the alarm LED turn on. The screen won’t come on either. I have no idea how to fix this and I didn’t know if you might. If not, that’s ok and thank you for your time. Excellent videos! Keep up the awesome work!

I missed the notification for this comment apparently, my apologies. Right off the bat I dont immediately know what the issue is, that sounds like a issue that without testing and troubleshooting a few things I would just be shooting in the dark. The primary thought that comes to my mind first is possibly a Hv power short to ground. This sounds like itll be either directly in the hv power supply, or in/around the probe

@@jamesluck2969 Thank you for helping me troubleshoot! Actually beneath the GM pancake tube there is what looks like an IC. Right around that IC, a component smells burnt. It’s a super strong smell I noticed when I had it apart. I do have a video of the inside of it m.kzread.info/dash/bejne/lYt2m6Oops7dhqg.html
