Luddy Samms is not only the owner/proprietor and MC of "Drifters" he's the headliner of the show! And man he deserves it! The man's voice is absolutely awesome. We visitors & locals are so lucky to have him up on stage and sharing that 'voice' almost everyday of the week. For me the greatest singers were the absolutely incredible RnB & Soul singers from around 1950-1965 era…and Luddy reminds me of them when he does songs from that era…but he really loves to sing the 'Blues' (which he has told me is really his first love)…but he can sing RnB, Soul and of course Reggae with the best of them...
Luddy opened up "Drifters Beach Bar" in Negril, Jamaica in 2012... he has musicians & singers from Jamaica & around the world getting up on stage and playing reggae, blues, some soul, a bit of rock n roll etc...from 3pm - 7pm Fridays & Sundays from November to April every year.
