The other night Noel came and played in my house... then I woke up.

Noel is cool, Jo Whiley is cool, and this lucky bloke acts as cool as can be expected when you've got arguably the greatest songwriter ever in your bedroom with cameras on you. You're hardly going to feel normal when that happens. Noel, however, pulls out the jokes and diffuses the situation with a few witty comments himself, so top respect. Also, Half The World Away is immense.

If Noel comes to my house to play songs with my guitar, i would certainly cry a lot. It would be one of the most emotionals moments of my life. Can you imagine Noel saying to you "Hello buddy, let's play some songs" ? F***ING AWESOME!

I had never seen this before and i consider myself a massive fan.. . F***n mad fur it..

Can you imagine the truck load of voice enhancement shit today's artists would need for this, plus a second truck load of photoshop experts.

Noel is a revolutionary no doubt . A proper working class lad who never changed . Same goes for Liam aswell .

When he's not singing you get the sense that he doesn't take his music seriously, even if it's a part of the song with no lyrics. But when he's singing, he's so immersed and his writing is pretty much exactly what songwriting is supposed to be.

@mickjoG But on the other hand that was one of the most amazing things about Oasis in the 90's is the existence of an album of b-sides of the quality of The Masterplan. One of the worst things about Oasis later on was Noel's acceptance of the idea of filler. Putting songs on albums that were "good enough"

@mickjoG He refused to do it acoustically in the Live Lounge because he says acoustic wouldn't do it justice. So I doubt we'll ever hear it. It was written in the studio so there isn't even an acoustic demo that could leak to us! I agree is an awesome song though.

@mickjoG That's the hope. It's looking alright so far. Have you been keeping track of who has been confirmed to be involved and those rumored? I have and so far I have been very pleased with the rumors. Particularly the involvement of AA. Their remix of FD is one of the best things to come out of the Oasis camp during the DOYS period for me!

Noel's solo album will be exciting absolutly.. but for him to keep succes, he must learn from those past mistakes made with Oasis... But hey ya know.. if Richard Ashcroft can make great solo albums.. then no doubt Noel can smash them out easily!. @GDFullOn - really Amorphous Androgynous are gonna have some involvement with him?, hadnt heard that rumour... I heard 'The sand band'.. will play with him, & I think Miles Kane might have some sort of involvement too... as Noel has had an involvement in Miles Kane's solo album...

@mickjoG Miles Kane has recorded some guitar. The singer/guitarist David McDonnell of the Sand Band confirmed that HE has been asked to play live with Noel, he hasn't confirmed studio work and none of the rest of the band have commented. Noel was seen unpacking equipment @ Wellers studio early this year it's likely that Weller will do something. In an interview done December and printed in Jan Virgil Howe confirmed that they were working on Noel's solo album.

@mickjoG He also apparently laid done some strings in Abbey Road in mid-Jan. Most frustrating thing is that the only reason that we know anything @ all about him working is that others are telling us they've done work for him. So we only know about the people that have specifically mentioned it or been asked about it during the promotion of their own material. Who knows who else out there has had input! According to Noel he hasn't done anything since Oasis split AA will be amazing though!

Liam AND Noel would have been the best; singing "Acquiesce" and "Champagne Supernova!" Still; what a fortunate man to have Noel over!

@GDFullOn : Yeh, that is possibly true... maybe he will find a good musical opinion to bounce off of, in the solo albums, in the form of a Paul Weller or someone like that. He has plenty of good friends in the music industry, he is highly regarded, I guess tapping Noel Gallagher on the shoulder to point out somthing, isn't the easiest thing to do.. (perhaps just ask LIam). I just hope that with Noel's solo album he dont release too many b-sides that are better than first choice album tracks..
