Its so hard to quantify and stratify characters like these with BWL and Perpetua. The power scales seem so all over the place. Im curious what the community would say if Michael fought BWL instead of SMP.

No need. It would not be interesting. Lucifer is countless orders of magnitude above Superman. There is no way that Superman could meaningfully interfere in Lucifer’s affairs, and if he wanted to there is nothing that Superman could do to stop Lucifer from destroying his life. Thankfully though, Lucifer’s interests are usually on a far greater scale than Superman can comprehend- he deals in matters relevant to all of Creation and more at times. And whilst he is entirely selfish, Lucifer is not outright sadistic and would not waste his time destroying the life of one single Kryptonian on a whim.

The only times Michael was a match for Lucifer was when he had God's backing. Without it, Michael on his own was never Lucifer's equal.

Comics Lucifer have never fought by this point of the story , during the war in heaven in DC , Micheal didn't actually fight which leads to later "issues" (don't want to spoil, just read the comic). Lucifer and Micheal are equal in DC comics , just that Lucifer cannot create and Micheal cannot form , but together they are equal to Yaweh's power.
