You have a beautiful soul. I’m so glad you discovered Pavarotti. He did a whole album like this in his last days before he passed on. I believe it is called Pavarotti and friends.

When you have 2 giants in their prospective genres that can share a performance and appreciate the talents of the other you witness pure magic. I have watched this video several times to watch the reactions of the performers to each other.

@Doc Rich, This is one of my, a 67 yo Englishman Londoner, favourite clips on KZread BUT I have to say you highlighting that LOOK of COMPLETE RESPECT that James gave Lou-chi-ar-no Pav-arr-rott-tee was totally awesome. LOVED your reaction, Doc, and both patients I would suggest didn't need any surgical interventions, they both looked pretty lively as they were !!! You are quite correct about having no soul if you don't like that; I'm a big believer that the ears are the direct pathway to ones heart and soul for things like this, if it doesn't get past the ears and stays in ones head you. just. won't. get. it. 👏👏👏PS I'm not an opera or James Brown fan really, I'm into rock or jazz rock as preference, but this is just exCEPTional.

Just subscribed. I like that you’re open to different kinds of music. I’ve played a number of different instruments in my life from band instruments to piano and mostly just guitar now. I like all kinds of music from classical, jazz, blues, rock, and more. Looking forward to more from you. One thing came to mind. I think you’d like the Righteous Brothers. The live version of these are the way to go. You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling would be a good place to start as it features both of them. Then”Unchained Melody” with just one of them singing solo. It was supposedly the most played song of the 20th Century. The style was known as blue-eyed soul.

Hey Doc! If you like stuff like this one, Pavarotti performed with a lot of international artists. Two of my favorite songs are: Holy Mother (Live) - Eric Clapton, Luciano Pavarotti, East London Gospel Choir Live like Horses (Live) - Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti But if you wanna listen to more opera and have an eargasm, I suggest you to watch the video in which He performed O Sole Mio and Nessun Dorma with Carreras and Domingo (The Three Tenors). It's such a fun and amazing performance!

Pavarotti: Man chases power but he doesn't know that the great limit has to be how it will be done. In the palm he holds an idea who does not live, that in his fantasy… he wanted if you don't notice that then nothing makes sense anymore if one lives only for oneself. ------------------------------------------------------------------ It's a Man's Man's Man's World lyrics Artist: Luciano Pavarotti •Featuring artist: James Brown Album: Pavarotti & Friends Brown: This is a man's world, this is a man's world and But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing, nothing Without a woman or a girl You see, man made the cars To take us over the road Man made the trains To carry heavy loads Man made electric lights To take us out of the dark And man made the boat for the water, Like my bible says Noah made the ark This is a man's world But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing, nothing Without a woman or a girl Pavarotti: L'uomo rincorre il potere ma lui non sa che il grande limite ha da essere come si fará. Nel palmo stringe un ‘idea che non vive, che nella sua fantasia… volle se non si accorge che poi nulla ha piú senso se si vive solo per sé. Brown: Man thinks about a little bitty baby girl And a baby boy Man makes then happy Because man makes them toys And after man made other things he can Man makes liras, pesos, dollars, rupees To buy for every good woman and every man This is a man's world, Pavarotti: Nulla ha piú senso se si vive solo per sé. Brown: But it wouldn't be nothing, Without a woman or a girl. Pavarotti: Solo per sé. Brown: He's lost in the wilderness, He's lost in bitterness. Pavarotti: Se non si accorge che poi nulla ha piú senso se si vive solo per sé, solo per sé, per sé. Brown: This is a man's world, yeah.
