Huge fans actually. And fun facts: 1: Luciano Pavarotti, like Elvis, could not read music, and also like Elvis, a self- taught singer. 2: James Brown & Elvis were friends. In fact, James Brown cried for hours while alone in the same room where Elvis was laid out for loved ones to pay their respects. James Brown always referred to Elvis as and I quote, "My soul brother." 3: Luciano Pavarotti once said of Elvis, "He could sing like me but I could never sing like him." Placido Domingo was another great opera singer (tenor) that once said, "If I could like anyone, I wish I could sing Elvis." Anyway, just some little fun facts. But you know what my favorite thing about this clip is? The respect. We have two GREATS on that stage and neither of trying to upstage the other. You could tell they both were honored to be on that stage with one another. I love seeing that level of mutual respect. Especially when it is shared between two recognized giants of their craft(s).
