@@HuibvanderHart Not a clue I afraid, that's just what the DVLA say. It could be that it's installed on a building site for a long term project and doesn't need road tax until it's no longer required. More likely there isn't the demand for hiring it, or maybe it needs a major overhaul and isn't available for hire. There are many possibilities!

@Johan Rodrigues because the crane with the boom would exceed the weight limits of any public road. Actually, the carrier alone weighs 108 ton which is the maximum weight allowed for a nine axle crane in most countries.

Man that is awesome you get to see the crane at work detaching the boom unit from the crane. As well you getting to sit in the cab of one. Nice. How long it take for them to take the boom apart?... You sir had a great front row seat watching them at work. -Thumbs up-

Robert Taylor. the undercarriage without boom weights 108t, this seems like the 52m boom with Y suspension so that would be 77t. There's also a 100m boom with Y suspension available, weighting 100t.

@@mafiagodfather5802 Don't forget the 202 tons of counterweight and the 40 tons of spreader plates. Plus however many tons their chosen combination of jib and hook for this lift weighed, I haven't actually found any specs for what the jib weighs...

That must cost thousands to manufacture and impressive too. And to top it all a cheap aluminium ladder to attach simple ropes to extract what appears to be foot rams.. All in all, it almost top heavy...to even be driven..with those wheels somewhat at their inflation limit.. Great tool ..👍😁

Der Aufbau wirkt steinzeitlich. Was für eine Asterei um die Stützen in Position zu bringen.

+Oli4vn Op een dieplader is hij niet lichter.. Voor transport over de weg gaat de mast er af. Zoals te zien is in het filmpje. De kraan zonder mast weegt dan rond de 100 ton.

Looks like they do it for the First Time...

That Is one machine that I would never want to own. Must be a real nightmare dealing with the fallout when something breaks. Just imagine if the thing breaks the transmission on the way to a big job. The tow bill would probably be $20k alone. Then it would be in the shop for months too. Too expensive to own 2 of them so you would also loose all of the jobs you had booked with it and have a bunch of pissed off customers to deal with as well. You would almost have to team up with another company to have them cover your jobs if your crane is down for repairs. Sounds like a royal pain in the ass having that thing.

이런 이동식 크레인 차량은 실린더로 좌.우 지탱을 하고 있다. 그러나 이런 방식은 강한 바람에 버티기 어렵다. 그렇타고 차체를 키우기도 어렵다. 그런타면 기존 방식대로 실린더로 지탱은 하고 추가로 넘어지지 않도록 주변에 차체를 고정하고 작업을 하는것이 좋다. 그러나 이동형 크레인 이다 보니 매번 타워 크레인 처럼 고정은 어렵다. 단. 이동형 크레인도 어느정도 작업하는 기간은 같은 위치에서 장기간 작업을 한다. 그렇타면 차량의 약 4개 에서 8개 포인트에 안전 후크 걸어주기 위한 봉을 적용하고 이런 봉에 후크를 걸어준후 후크를 와이어와 연결 가까운 아파트 골조의 텝너트 작업이 골조에 되어 있거나 주변 걸어줄만한 가까운 걸이에 걸어 주고 와이어에 탄력을 주어야 고정력이 높아지니까 당겨주는 장치로 적당한 탄력을 주어 고정 적용한다. 그래야 이런 대형 차량 크레인의 안전률을 기존보다 좀더 높이고 작업이 가능하다.

Warum Liebherr eine derart umständliche Methode gewählt hat den Ausleger vom Kran zu lösen und zu transportieren????? Gottwald AMK 1000 hat doch gezeigt wie man so etwas einfacher löst.

Naja, ich will ja nichts sagen aber da saßen bestimmt genug Liebherr-Ingenieure dran und ich möchte erst garnicht wissen wie viel know-how und Arbeitsstunden da rein geflossen sind. Ich denke die werden wissen was die machen und es wird seinen Grund haben.

Absolutely love these cranes. But why would you remove that for?

​@@perlamiseriaccia To be more specific, in the configuration shown in the video that crane weighed 185 tons with the boom, and 108 tons without it... which is still more than twice as heavy as what you're normally allowed to drive on most European public roads without getting a special permit. And that's just the crane and boom, there's anywhere from 100 to upwards of 400 tons of additional stuff needed to actually lift anything. (between 62 and 202 tons of counterweight alone, plus 40 tons of weight spreaders, plus a hook....and up to 150 tons of lattice mast sections for the top of the boom...)

Pretty much every vehicle involved in moving one of these things will be so heavy they'e restricted to 30 mph/50 kph, with an escort to make sure people stay clear. There's a special trailer just for moving that crane boom, and special trailers for handling the counterweight, some of which have seven or eight axles for just the trailer to keep the per axle weight down as they load up sixty to eighty ton of steel blocks on them... This one is (so far) the biggest of the lot, when it comes to wheeled cranes, but then you get to the tracked ones and they get really insane.
