Moh Seng Cranes | Liebherr LTM1500 - 8.1 | Changing out Big Hook Block!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Here the Liebherr LTM1500 - 8.1 from Moh Seng Cranes is changing out its big heavy hook block after completion of a job. Usually the 3-sheave hook block does the job for most lifting works, but sometimes you need a bigger muscle!

Great to see this scope of work in detail which most people don't get to see. But I thought the guy working between the crane body and those counter-weights while in operation is kind of dangerous isn't it? But anyhow thanks for the upload.

The attendant MUST inform the operator that they are there. And the lowering and raising of the counterweights are done by the attendant at that location with a remote control. It may look dangerous but they know very well what to do

Nice video but maybe check the operators manual. The crane should be off it’s outriggers before the boom goes into the rest position

nope...by doing this they aren't relying on hydrolics to keep the boom raised

@@heavyhaulage1 the outriggers have manual lockout pins so there's no chance of hydrolic failure due to check valve issues
