I got this trolling motor but I really don't like the foot peddle it don't change direction when foot on it unless I pick foot up then press the other direction I wish they had one like a regular trolling motor like minn does
I have a stern/hull mounted transducer & Point 1. When I tell the Lowrance to go to a Waypoint I've made over structure, it goes there and anchors with the head of the Motorguide Xi5 over the structure. In my case that's off by 19'. Obviously I can't see the structure on the Lowrance screen because I'm off by a considerable distance. Yes, Point 1 is set up as GPS source. How do I fix this?
Barry I have the same setup and have followed your instructions, the problem I am having is once the boat heads towards the marked waypoint it keeps on going and doesn't go into anchor mode automatically at the marked point. Do you have to manually hit the anchor on your remote when you see you are back on top of your marked point?

Hi Scott, give this a try. Press: Pages>Settings>Autopilot>Arrival Mode = Anchor

I will try it tomorrow, thank you! By the way love your products.
Testing, Testing, is this thing on?
Does this autopilot to waypoint work with the 3 in 1 transducer or only when using the integrated in the MG trolling motor transducer ?

As long as the MG trolling motor is part of the same NMEA2000 network as the plotters, it will go to any waypoints set from any plotter in the that same network.
Is the Gen 3 compatible with the Xi3?
Wonderful video. Have a few questions how much power would I need for the 2000 Netwerk to connect my Larance HDS live to my motor guide Xi3? The two units are literally 3 foot from each other, I’m on a kayak that’s why they’re so close. If someone could please tell me how much power I would need for how big of a battery I would need that would be much appreciated

The NMEA 2000 terminators are 120 ohm. At 12v, that's 0.20A for both terminators. That's 4.8Ah per day.

@@lowrance thank you for the help. With that said what size bat would I need for this to work on a kayak?
We are trying to get the auto pilot to work for the trolling motor on the gen 3 but it says the bus is off in the diagnostics... how do we turn that on
@lowrance

Hi, If the Bus State is off in the Network Diagnostics page the unit is not seeing 12 volts on the N2K network. If the unit is not seeing the N2K network it will not communicate with the pilot. Please check the Netowrk for proper power and termination.
Can you tell me why as soon as I put the motorguide in the water everything works well and instead then putting it back to rest and putting it back in the water from the instrument no longer works and to make it go back well I have to disconnect and reattach the current

You can have both HDS Gen3 on the same NMEA2000 network. They will both control the Xi5 if you have the MotorGuide gateway on the network.
Can the elite ti2 do this with an xi3

Yes, the Xi5 needs to be connected via NMEA2000 to your HDS gen3.
